Read moreMake the stop! Its an easy walk and there are some decent viewpoints. The river and chasm are very scenic and you should be able to get some very dramatic pictures. There are the obligatory educational placards at very points along the way and they are fairly interesting. Look for the living stump, its kind of cool. Its moderately safe to let your kids run free, here. There's a good sized fence along the path preventing you from getting to close to the chasm.
