I am personally a scooter rider and I sometimes bmx. I waited months for this park to open here to find out that scooters aren't aloud at all, and bike are only aloud on Tuesdays. Tell me why you put almost 5mil into a park and only let skateboarders ride. Realize how big scooters are now today. You woukd have another mabey 200 people to the park that's money your losing and it looks bad on your park for not allowing it. Your excuses for scooters and bikes are invalid... saying a scooter rider can't ride a bowl.. only thing scooters can't ride in is dirt.. we can go where ever. There isn't a specific ramp, bowl, rail, or ledge that we need. Saying that skateboarders ride at a faster or slower pace then scooters... we all have the same bones reds bearings we all go the same speed and do similar tricks.. the speed or pace shouldnt matter if we all follow basic skatepark rules. Wait till some one finishes a line and then go.. look out for people and dont snake. Trucks from a skateboards do more damage then a scooter or pegs from a bike.. Realize that scooter wheels are made from poly urethane wich is rubber.. bmx tires are also rubber.. skateboard wheels are hard plastic scratching...
Read moreI looked this place up after getting back into BMX, I came 2 hours early today ( Thursday ). I happened to talk to the office about leaving my truck parked so I could warm up in the area and wait for them to open. The guy I spoke to walked past me as I was putting my bike together when he was leaving around 12. The lady who was in there came out and broke me the news around 130, and handed me a $3 voucher… Kind employees, looked like a nice place (from the gate). I’m 28, ive been riding bikes forever, I’ve been to skateparks all over, I’ve never once been turned away from a park because of what I chose to ride. I can watch myself and others, I could’ve left when people showed up or if it got busy. I’m not asking anyone to risk employment, it’s just not the skatepark environment I’m sure a lot of you older riders are used to. The voucher feels like a slap in the face after finding out about the 6 days of putting BMX riders in the streets. They put in there FAQ we’re an “ Underserved “, and then underserve us. Hope to see this weird policy modified or...
Read moreExcellent concrete park. No complaints.
The park has a nice balance of street and vert. The lower half I would say is more street based with rails, ledges and interesting features like inverted and concave ledges and ramps. Everything seems to have a pretty natural and fun flow to it going from one side of the park to the other. The top half is more vert with a bowl, and a snake run.
The staff are nice and helpful with everything from answering questions to giving advice on boards, trucks, etc. They do a great job of taking care of anything and keeping the park clean and safe.
The vibe is chill and fairly laid back. Lots of people from all ages and skill levels show up and seem to just have fun whether they're landing their tricks or not.
The price is fair at about $3 for admission, and they do require helmets which are available for rent if needed. They also sell decks, clothes, snacks and other skate supplies...
