This used to be the best park in the area when I was growing up. There is a great playground, a snack bar, horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, and several pavilions. However, the most iconic part of this beach has always been the concrete pier for jumping and diving off from. Much to my dismay when we showed up this time the pier now has signs posted that there is a $500 fine for jumping, diving, or swimming within 15 ft of the pier. This is truly a disappointment. Read moreWhat an absolutely beautiful park!!! The area is clean, the garbage is lidded, the water is pristine, the playground equipment is well kept. The grass is well kept. Plenty of big beautiful trees for shade and my goodness the view is amazing. The boats are a little noisy but if your little one likes to see boats they will love it here ! I recommend water shoes if you want to walk on the rocks (my kid and spouse are crazy!). We had so...
Read moreI'm a big fan of Depot Beach on the other side of Charlevoix but Ferry Beach Park has much better swimming. I had the whole lake to myself for swimming, with the exception of a flock of geese. Lake Charlevoix is such a glorious lake, a delightful lake for a refreshing swim. There's a snack bar at Ferry Beach Park where you can get things like hot dogs and ice cream. You'll find lots of picnic tables, a nice playground, and paddle board/kayak rentals. Charlevoix is a beautiful place and Ferry Beach Park is a great place for locals and tourists to...
