OM Spa Charlotte — Attraction in Charlotte

• Please note this review is in regards to spa services received only and not chiropractic work * My first time visiting OM Spa last week for the sauna, a massage and a facial so I will review each of those services. Sauna: It is at the top of the stairs where a lot of traffic is coming through, including the waiting area. There is absolutely no privacy except stripes of frosted glass. I was expecting a separate room and this was not the case. It is literally a sauna at the top of the stairs. Lots of noise and not at all a relaxing experience. I would not use this service again. Also, there is no light in the shower so you have to bath in the dark, no body wash (only shampoo & conditioner) and there is no curtain or anything to help prevent water from saturating the floor, only a bathmat (yuck!). Massage: I got the lymphatic drainage massage which I had never had done before. I think the massage itself may have been enjoyable but I was extremely dissatisfied with the massage therapist and would never book services with her again. She was extremely unprofessional and made several baseless judgements about populations of people. She made me very uncomfortable and I immediately regretted having booked the 80 minute session. I felt obligated to tip her so at $200 for massage (including tip) it was extremely disappointing. This was not at all the relaxing time I was looking forward to. Facial: I got the skin brightening facial with Tiffany and this was the only pleasant part of my experience. I left with my skin absolutely glowing and not red at all like I often am after a facial. Dr. E has an extremely intuitive bedside manner that instantly puts even the most nervous patient at ease. His questions are direct and he quickly delves to the center of the issue. He is no-nonsense and tells you exactly what’s going on. I so appreciate the scientific explanations he gives for possible causes before he even lays hands on his client. In my experience, Dr. E came to a diagnosis quickly and correctly, the. Proved it by making only the exact adjustments he’d just spoken about. Making sure every movement is explained, his patient is never slept wondering what’s going on. He is vastly intelligent, friendly, and makes intentional conversation— trying to know whom exactly he’s treating.

With its peaceful atmosphere and pleasing aesthetic, I cannot recommend Om Spa highly enough. I made my reservations with Paige at the front desk and she was friendly, helpful, and was able to answer any and all questions I had. I was so impressed with her efficiency!

To preface this review, I have never had any work done with the chiropractors here. I scheduled an appointment to get a brow lamination and wax and it honestly turned out horrible. I really wanted to make it work but I have random hairs sticking straight out, my eyebrows are uneven (left eyebrow was waxed more than the right). I was honestly embarrassed to walk out after my service. Went straight home and plucked my own eyebrows. I did wait 48 hours before washing my brows so not sure if this was a one off or what. But horrible. Crystal was very nice and educational, I'm just not so sure she should be doing brow laminations/waxes. Very disappointing considering I spent over $100 for this service and it lasts 6-8 weeks... save the money and embarrassment and go elsewhere for...
