No parking near the stadium unless your a local who knows places. Typically you will end up parking at the basketball arena(free parking) and hiking a mile or so down the road. The stadium itself is ok, I've sat on the hill, neat experience to do once as long as your NOT an away fan! That is part of the student section. I've also sat in the newer upper deck on the opposite end of the stadium. Seat views were fine, not outrageously high up. The lower bowl seats are pretty good. Stadium is similar to the views offered at UNC's Kenan. Bathrooms in the newest section(mind you this section is now about 16 years old) are rather nice. Concessions are typical in pricing, quality and selection. The fans........smartest idea is to just keep quiet if your an away fan when leaving and just keep moving. Win or lose, the students seem to want to fight any away fan they run into and will attempt to goad you into a fight or just straight sucker punch you. Witnessed both after a UNC-UVA rivalry game and haven't been back since. The problem is most away fans have to walk and mingle in with the student section leaving Scott, not a good mix. Also witnessed the student section chucking everything they could find, mini shot bottles and such at the opposing team.
The adults are a lot better though, much more accepting of...
Read moreMy home away from home. Yeah, I'm biased cause I love the Hoos, but most ACC fans who actually travel to away games have good things to say about Scott Stadium. Wider aisles than most other ACC stadiums, less steep than Lane Stadium, and just a beautiful setting in general. Bathrooms were expanded/updated during the expansion in '99...still occasionally see some lines though. The only negative....the food/vending could be better. For comparison try the food at Keenan Stadium (UNC)...Keenan is way better. I usually tailgate for home and away games but the kids always seem to want something else to eat during the game (despite all the food I cooked...lol). We could definitely do...
Read moreScott Stadium is a wonderful football field. Its elegent design offers the same class as the rest of the UVA grounds. As big as it is, there really isn't a bad seat as far as viewing the game. The fans aren't the loudest, but they may be the most respectful to the opposing school (except for maybe VT fans). The wall of fame is a nice touch. Therefore, I recommend entering in at the Northside entrance to get the true ambiance of the stadium and see that feature as well. The bookstore also sits across the street from this entrance, so be sure to stop by there to get...
