The lighthouse is rarely open for tours since it's a Coast Guard station, but it's one of the best lighthouses to visit. You can walk on the beautiful expansive beach below which has ever changing sands each year, most of the parking is right up facing the shore for those who want to sit in the car. There's even sidewalks you can walk passed a scenic coastal upper class area. The only draw back is there are not many parking spots which there are signs for only 45 minute parking or something like that. In the summer, people swim from this beach and the whole area can get pretty congested. Seeing the lighthouse do it's job in the area at night is pretty cool.
