Lakeside Park — Attraction in Chelan

Have been coming to Lakeside Park, in Chelan for 54 years. My family much longer than that. We were proud to hold a family celebration at Lakeside. Even drove up to check the park rules. Clearly states to pay and patk opens at 8:00am. At 7:57 the entire park was already full, only two parking spots left, both handicap spots. Which were soon taken by individuals without a handicap sticker or on their plate. Another issue is tables, show respect people, it belongs to all of us. The biggest issue were the restrooms!!!😡 Men's bathroom closed, most men were using the women's restrooms. I soon realized why. They have three portable outhouses next to the restrooms. My husband along with my son and three yr old grandson had to use the restroom also. I quickly learned of the disgusting filth. Feces smeared on the walls, all over the toilet seat. The 1 and only urinal even had feces all over it. It was so bad, they couldn't use it. So where does everybody go to the bathroom then? I don't even want to think about it. Absolutely done, and we will no longer be bringing our family to this park. The sign also says NO DOGS, between Memorial Day & Labor Day. If you put up rules...enforce them Chelan. Most people visiting were not tourists, they are locals. Cherry workers to be exact....

Have been coming to this park for years and while the parking prices increase each year the quality of the park depletes. It's time for more bathrooms, sanitation control and more trash receptacles. When you invite half of Washington to one park,e you need to at least accommodate for the people that are coming and paying to be there. The absolute filth we experienced Sunday was ridiculous. 20+ years going there and I will not return until upgrades are made. The amount of trash I pulled from the shore alone was ridiculous let alone the over flowing trash cans first thing Sunday morning. Get your park back to where it should be or waive the fee. Ridiculous to only cater to out of towners who have no clue what kind of mess they are driving into! Not sure how this park still holds such a...

No rules enforcement at all. Parking 30.00 restrooms are terrible even the new ones. I guess it’s the culture of the people that live here and use the park. Over crowded on the weekends. Been coming here for 40 years and it gets worse every year. No city budget money is being spent to improve the camp ground. Road and camping pads are in such poor shape.
