I was deeply disappointed by our experience with this summer camp. When I first contacted them, I explained that my son is a high-functioning autistic child. I simply wanted the staff to understand him better — not to ask for special treatment, but to ensure a positive experience for everyone. The response I received was, “We are not a daycare.” That remark alone was disheartening, but I chose to move forward, believing the program would still offer a supportive environment.
Unfortunately, the night before camp began, our family experienced an unexpected medical emergency that required us to leave town immediately. I notified the director right away that my son would not be able to attend, not even for the first day. Despite this, we were denied any refund of the $300 we had paid — not even the partial refund we were initially promised. My son never even set foot on the property.
That money was intended to help him build social confidence and connection — something every child deserves. Instead, it was taken from us during a time of genuine crisis. It’s heartbreaking that compassion and understanding were nowhere to be found in a program meant for children.
