This was my 2nd time coming here and the last time. The food was terrible, I ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was not edible. The english muffin was soaked and felt like a wet sponge, I tried to salvage it by removing the english muffin but it did not help, the sandwich had no flavor, McDonald's has a better sandwich for quarter of the price. My son got the waffles and as soon as it was brought out we almost started laughing, it was a waffle with 2 small slices of stick butter thrown in it, no whip cream and it looked sad. The bacon was nothing to write home about either, my wife loves bacon and didn't finish it due to the chewy texture. Service was ok and atmosphere is nice minus the loud TV playing "MASH" at the bar while the radio is playing also. Also the the price for 3 people was over $40 for a breakfast sandwich, half a waffle and an omelette. If the food was good its one thing but this was absurd. It's to bad, we don't live far but we will not be going here again.

Good food and service! Pumpkin pancakes tasted good and served a little crispy but not burnt. A lot of butter, though. Good coffee. I liked the atmosphere and how the restaurant was set up, including the small fireplace. Local handmade goods available. With the aches and pains I had that morning, I had a comfortable seat. I recommend a visit!

Olde Post is a true hidden gem of breakfast spots. The food is always perfect and exceeds expectations. It's a small place but we usually time it right and rarely have to wait. The homemade bread is well worth the price. Always get the homemade bread.

We just left this place. We were seated and asked what we wanted before we opened the menus. We asked for another minute and the waitress seemed annoyed. The whole time we’re eating the waitress is watching us because we’re eating too slow (we were there for 35 minutes max). One of us in the party of 3 was finished and she came over to take our plates. 2 of us weren’t even finished eating! My friend asked for more coffee and waitress sighed and went for coffee. When she returned we asked for cream. Again bothered, she took the cream from the table next to us...which had people eating. She brings the bill, takes some plates, and says “ladies...we have a line at the door.” We hadn’t even half finished the 2nd cup. The funny part was we left, there was 3 people (1 party) waiting to be seated and there were 3 tables available including ours. We called, got the owner, and he could not have been less interested in his poor customer service. We won’t be back. You can go to The English Muffin in Hampstead or Christina’s in Hampstead for better food and to be treated like a paying customer instead of an...

I went there this weekend and we both ordered eggs Benedict and home fries with onions. We asked for them to burn the onions and I stated I really want them burnt. In typical fashion, I did not get burnt onions. Eggs Benedict is only 13. And some change ( reasonable, right) my friend ordered a tomato juice and as another commenter stated the coffee cups are small but they kept walking by asking if we wanted a warm up. Yessss!, when we got the bill we were shocked to see the total amount for 53. Something..they charged every time they topped off the coffee..it was ridiculously expensive for eggs Benedict that didn't have a lot of hollandaise sauce and they didn't even BURN the onions as per our request. I guess i won't be back. They should really disclose up front that coffee top offs are chargeable. The staff was great and I love that we have a restaurant in Chester but who can afford dinner prices...
