The cabins here are overrated. The sites and roads are VERY dusty because the cabins have no paved roads yet the tent sites do. You'll find your vehicle and equipment covered in dust after only a day or two so keep the cabin doors closed. The cabins have no restroom inside. You'll have to walk to the nearest one which is a vault toilet. The restroom with flushing toilets has no lights - bring a flashlight at night - and is near tent campsite #9. The cabins also have no electricity so you can't charge anything. Mattresses are provided in them but have no sheets or pillows so bring your own or use sleeping bags on top. As of June 2024, the shower building is under repair due to a tree falling on it so no showers are available. Inside there's also a couch which could be a bed, and a table with two chairs. You're better off using a tent site if you're only here for a night or two. Otherwise this campsite is in an excellent location with lots of great shade, lovely trees, and beautiful lake views a short walk away. Once the store opens again it'll be even better.

6/25/24 to 6/27/24 Bring a mattress pad or two. Showers and Laundry are currently unavailable in the park. There are some 15 miles away. The cabins are very basic. Cabin 15 has a porch with two chairs and a little table, inside a table and chairs and a bed. Outside a fire pit, picnic table and bear box. If you like firm beds that are harder than the ground, it's perfect. The pilot light on the heater causes the room to heat up overnight. The vault toilets were always extremely low on toilet paper or out. Glad it was a beautiful weekend and the whole park was open.

Stayed here 2 nights on my pilgrimage to visit all 9 of California's national parks. The cabins are located close to the lake And have a fire ring table and a good sized bearbox. I recommend one of the single bed Cabins. because you're get a nice porch and windows. The Cabins, have a heater which is nice the beds have a three inch Foam mattress However, I've slept on more comfortable blocks of wood definitely bring an air mattress. However, these are some of the best Camp cabins I've stayed in.

I had a great experience here with my wife. We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights.

The cabins themselves are beautiful. The small cabins have enough room to comfortably sleep 2 people. The beds are hard, but livable. You need to bring your own sheets, pillows, etc.

Each cabin has a dedicated fire pit, and food storage area that is bear-proof. We used these a lot.

You also have your own parking place in front of your cabin.

There is a nearby store within walking distance that sells food, groceries, and small items. You can also rent kayaks from the store.

There are bathrooms near each cabin and potable water, but they are very smelly and have no electricity or drinking water. If you walk to the main store area there are bathrooms with electricity that are modern and nicer to use. We used these often.

The only downside to the camp is that there is no electricity or internet. It was hard to adjust. I expected some wifi or something, but there is nothing within an hour's drive.

If you need to charge a device, the laundry room had some outlets.

Overall, it was a great camping trip. The only thing I wish they had was electricity and...
