Lassen Peak Vista Point — Local services in Chester

Great photo spot of Lassen Peak. Heavily trafficked trail. Popular spot for snowshoeing in the winter, however on 3/1/21 the trail snow was fairly hard packed and I walked the entire loop around the lake in hiking boots without ever donning my snowshoes. Park entry during the winter is only $10 with ample parking at Loomis Ranger Station. Clean restrooms next to the Ranger Station. Rte 89 closed in the winter beyond Loomis Ranger Station...
