Founders Park — Attraction in Chino

We have used this park in some way everyday since it opened approximately ten years ago. It’s not big enough for such a large community and it really should have included the land that is now the elementary school to make it a proper park. The lawn is well maintained but the replanting of annuals and perennials is spotting. They recently started to plant cactus and it looks wrong in a family park; not inviting. As mentioned, the poorly thought out Cal Aero school is adjacent to the park and because developers did not give enough land to the playground, the children have PE in the park during the school week, making it hard for residents to lounge and enjoy the park quietly. Also, because they didn’t build enough permanent structures for the school, they built trailers for extra classrooms. Now the park’s aesthetics is thrown off and anyone walking along the south end of the park gets a view of trailers and the dirty backside of the school.
