I get a little nostalgic when talking about this park. This was my go-to park when I first got into hiking. I always felt safe and comfortable which is nice when you're a woman mostly hiking alone. There are plenty of trails to choose from, I often combine several of them to get more mileage. The trails are pretty well maintained most of the time and very beautiful with lots of big trees. In the Spring the gorgeous weeping cherry trees blossom, late spring into summer there's a wide variety of beautiful flowers all around the pavilion. Read moreSpring is the optimal time to come here. I parked by the forest trail and walked up to the pavilion. I like taking this way because it’s less crowded. The walk up the hill also gets the lungs pumping. There are patches of yellow fig buttercups and some big broken tree trunks around. If you decide to take this route then wear hiking shoes. It can get muddy.
The pavilion and garden is fun to walk around. The magnolia trees, daffodils, Christmas roses and Blue lungwort are out and blooming now. It smells really pretty. Met a guy named Bill here, wore a cool scarf and hat, he was a good man, A GOOD MAN BILL WAS!
Couple of key spots to check out here, talons milk bar where the milk is pretty decent for the amount of rupees, just watch out for bandits.
Also saw a cool sword in a stone off the beaten path, but was guarded by a strong duelist. He kept trying to challenge me but I forgot my deck, wonder what's up with that.
Great park overall and if you're looking for a good time in this part of Hyrule, it can't be beat!
