The recent changes to this store make me drive the extra 5-10 minutes to shop anywhere else.
It's bad enough that every line may as well be self checkout because the cashier's will almost never bag anything for you. So now you're made to feel like you're holding up the line while doing someone else's job and not getting paid for it.
On top of that it's clear they view all their customers as potential shoplifters. They've installed gates that only let you in, with an alarm that goes off if you try to exit the store anywhere other than through a register. They have things as trivial as hand soap sequestered off behind a mandatory separate register in the middle of the store, where you have to pay for those items before you can continue shopping. The kicker is they have the audacity to have a sign stating it's "for your convenience" when it couldn't be any less convenient for the shopper.
I'll take my money to a store that actually wants me to shop there in the future, which is a shame because this used to be my go to neighborhood...
Read moreA great Grocery. No Fancy Dan food, but the type of food your family wants to eat at good prices. Usually has one or another entree meats on sale. Good, and abundant produce. Can deal with only money transactions, but you'll have to probably wait. Takes SNAP, and Debit/Credit cards, but you'll have to check yourself out. Unfortunately, it; so far; doesn't take the Senior $49.00 a month Benefits Card. I ask them to start every time I am in one. If you are a Senior with such a Card; please ask yourself at the Service Desk. Because of Tarriffs Fruit, some Produce, Coffee, and etc... are now more expensive. Not Weis' fault. Pork, and Chicken are still inexpensive, but Beef is too high. It's too high ALL over. Weis' named products are much more inexpensive than any others. As someone on SNAP with a low SSI amount I find I can buy a whole months worth of food without any deprevation at Weis. I go to the Weis on Upper Front Street, and on Robinson Street both of which have completely satisfied my...

Grapes where the only thing reasonably and normally priced in fruits, $2.99 a pound. Where I am a hour north our Cherries are $4.99 a lb. I got 2 1lb strawberries from tops this week for buy one get one free and it was $6 for BOTH. Berries are buy one get one and they're 6oz and those were $6 for both. They are absolutely scamming you guys this summer out here and everything is in season. Absolutely terrible that you guys would have to pay over $30 to make a simple fruit salad now a days. Hopefully they lower your fruit prices because you deserve better binghamton. You deserve to be able to afford healthy options for you and...
