A small park with a beach section accessing the Delaware River. The beach itself isn’t that big, the shoreline is made with sand. There is also a basketball court and a large grass field adjacent to the parking lot. Although there isn’t a lot of shade. A nice place to cool off and wade in the river. This portion of the river isn’t deep and the water is very clear. Wouldn’t call this a touristy spot more of a local hangout/ place to cool off. As it is a river the river bottom is pretty rocky and their are some tree branches and such so water shoes would be appropriate. Just as in any public beach/park be careful if broken glass in the sand.

Plenty of fish here, this popular spot is home to all water lovers, from fishermen to kayak and canoe enthusiasts.

Very clean and quiet. a good time. And the lifeguards handed out goggles to the kids.

Great little beach on the Delaware river in Port Jervis. Free weekdays and $5 per car on weekends. There's is also a sports area. Great for launching a kayak or raft...families with kids swimming and I noticed life guards during the weekend. It can get crowded on weekends before 5pm, but calmer in the evenings and weekdays when mostly fishermen are around. Great sunsets. Oh, swimming is allowed only in a small section...

Nothing wrong with beach but over the years most if not allthe shade trees have been removed. Either by floods or by city workers. Bring an umbrella or a portable gazebo. Also thumbs up for charging out of towners to use the beach. At one time they ran the beach. Take all the picnic tables and whatever shade...
