Riverside Creamery — Restaurant in City of Port Jervis

Tonight was the worst experience I have had at an establishment. So much so that I wanted to write a review. Went in for ice cream with friends and our children. We all wanted to sit next to each other so we let other sit while we waited over 40 minutes for an available table. We found a table next to our kids and waited for the previous customers to finish. When they did, I grabbed their table and the bus boy cleaned it and I was handed my ice cream. A quarter of the way through I had a wet rag thrown down in front of me and a “reserved” sign. The waitress Paige was extreme rude, she told me I had to get up and move bc the table was reserved. While I was already eating!??! my husband pulled the owner aside and the owner didn’t seem to care one bit. Two people sat at that table and another one who was on shift. All he had to say was “that’s my employees home from college”. So you kick a customer out of their table midway through their food to seat your employees????? So unprofessional. We own two businesses and I would NEVER do that to a customer. They could have sat outside to have a conversation. Not take my table. Sorry sir, but you just lost over a dozen valuable customers. 2025-06-12: stopped in for lunch. Dont believe that we just ordered the same sandwiches. Will have to change next time. I often opt for a hotdogs. Sandwich is good but quite greasy. Used a lot of napkins. We got dessert to go: Bocci ball and bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Had the 2nd half of my sandwich and dessert for dinner.

2024-09-24:stopped in for lunch. I had the chicken pesto panini and my husband had the hokey smoky burger. That's a favorite of his. We shared cheese fries. He had an almond joy sundae and I opted for a dish of vanilla ice cream. All very good. No photos today. They're about to close for the season.

2024-08-15: Subtracted 1 for the boss, Jeff yelling at staff about a chair out of place. Highly inappropriate and kind of ruined the rest of our finishing our dessert. Rule# 1 in business is treat staff with respect and corr ection is done in private. You should have seen the looks on their faces and then how they kind of shrunk . Terrible!

They put forth "ZERO" Effort when making a Sundae 🍨. I've been there on very few occasions because every single time, I'm beyond disappointed and mad... I wasted $15 on 2 Brownie Fudge Sundaes with almost ZERO, "BROWNIES"... On this occasion, I bought 2 Medium Brownie Hot Fudge Sundaes, that were just cups of ice cream with brownies sprinkled around, Sparingly!!! And I mean NOTHING! MAYBE CRUMBS LEFT OVER! At least they added the Whip Cream & Cherry! ....I should have taken photos but I was beyond upset when I opened it in my vehicle and all the ice cream went all over the steering wheel, with each spoonful, not a brownie in sight, overpriced cup of ice cream!
