I've been to this place a few times and I enjoy it every time. At the moment some of the exhibits are closed, but they tell you this on their website, so you know in advance. The exhibits that were open were enough to fill our time (approximately 3 hours and honestly we could've stayed longer but it was just too hot). There's plenty of places to rest in the shade and just enjoy watching the animals, a play area for tots, a snack area for a quick treat, and a gift shop at the end. (The cafeteria is currently under renovation.) There's many educational opportunities for children as they have small demonstrations set up in different areas of the park, as well as informational displays, etc. Admission was very fair... cheaper than the movies. All in all it was a good way to spend a few hours and we will definitely be back.

Burnett park such a nice place. It use to be nice, now it is just another junk/grave yard of a park. Is spooky and scary, just neglected. Shame on you Syracuse. No one cleans noone picks up trush no caps visible. There just youngsters gangs running around so whenever I will go through I always look/prepare for being mugged or something. Fortunately it didn't happen yet but it's just a matter of time, I believe. So if any one decided to go there for a stroll, be cautious. There in the back is a monument for memory of these from our community, who gave life for our freedom in world war ii and until recently the city did not give to much to it. Finally just after memorial day they put a new flag pole line on the pole but I did not see flag flying. Unless it was for a very short time flying up there. Shame Syracuse, shame.

I have been coming to this zoo since I was a child. I've noticed a lot of changes. The walking trail seems to have been cut in half, they changed burger king into "jungle cafe" (which is gross and expensive). In the buildings a lot of exhibits were empty and outside we didn't see tons of animals either. They have a sand area for children, which is great they loved it. But they got rid of the milking cows, which all children loved. All in all this was a good trip and I would go back someday

We have been zoo members for several years, starting when our kids were little. Now we have two teenagers and we still love it! The membership is worth it: deals at the store, special events, & discounts at zoos around the country. Staff is always welcoming and helpful. Exhibits are regularly upgraded and changed so we are not bored.

It was super quiet during our visit. Very few people there. Like having our own private zoo! We had a snack at the cafe. The food is high quality. My dad had turkey on whole wheat. Me, tuna on white. Fast friendly service. Our family are members of the zoo so we go a lot. Still sad about the passing of one of the Tigers.

Should be one of to do list in Syracuse, kids enjoyed the tour and weather was just perfect , paid 28 dollars for 2 adults and 2 kids , they don’t provide receipt or ticket 🎟️
