White Plains Rural Cemetery — Attraction in City of White Plains

My mom was buried here last week alongside my grandmother who was already buried here. My interactions with Martha who works in the office was good. But there are a couple of things that were a disappointment.

My mom payed for two plots back in 2020. My grandmother was placed in the first plot and now my mom died and she is in the same plot. If the double plot was already paid for 4 years ago it's just plain GREED to ask the plot owner to pay another $2,000 to open the ground. Once a double plot is paid for there should be no additional charges.

Day of the burial (12.11.24) unfortunately it was raining when we arrived at the cemetery. Cemetery staff should have automatically set up a tent over the grave site to cover attendees from the rain. When we asked for a tent none was provided. Very uncomfortable trying to do a burial while standing in the rain!!!

Cemetery aesthetics need some work and better maintenance.
