My husband and I visited this winery and tasting room with some friends and were abruptly closed out and forced to leave due to the reason given was that someone "supposedly" in our group was "visibly intoxicated". This person was not stumbling or slurring in any way shape or form. In fact they were being very nice and making friends with some locals at the next table over laughing and sharing recommendations. Place was packed and that is a good thing! All kinds of people in it from locals to tourists and visitors. Take a few days and go find these places. This one had a really unique and interesting vibe. Staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable. Buying a few bottles of wine with a tumbleweed on the bottle, very cool and iconic!! A highly recommended stop to add to the list of things to do...

I was lucky enough to have a great discussion about the history of Arizona wine making with the owner Kris. If you only have time to visit one winery while exploring the Verde...
