We had a fun Father's Day morning breakfast at the park. We used shelter house 3 since it was not reserved for the day, and it had a big grill available to use. We were able to prepare our big breakfast on the grill easily with room to spare, and the shelter was great to escape the early morning sun. After we finished our breakfast, we headed over to the big blue park area next to the vaulted toilets and shared use shelter. Our toddlers loved the park, even the climbing structure that was difficult to climb, but another boy their size easily scaled it all the way to the top no problem.😅 We spent a couple hours in this spit because there was plenty of seating/shade, and the kids were having a blast. Read moreHad a great time at the park. Very easy to get to, and lots of parking near each shelter. We had #3 since it's close to the pond (catch and release) and running water. The shelter has eight tables, each able to sit 8+ adults or 10+ kids with lots of elbow room. The grill - about 15 feet from the shelter is super size (probably 4 x 4) and can accomdate two 15 pound bags of charcoal. Bring a roll of heavy duty aluminum foil, as the grill spacing is about 1/2 inch, made with 3/8 steel bar stock... so, not accommodating for regular size hot dogs. Fine for brats, steaks, and...
