The Fox Hollow Rodeo is a great place to watch cowboys and cowgirls ride bulls and horses. It's a place where the whole family can participate in fun events like line dancing and events for the kids including sheep riding, and races. It is a place for all ages where you can get a cheeseburger or a hot dog and even a funnel cake or an ice cream sundae. You will have the privilege to participate in honoring our great Nation and our Flag during the National Anthem. There's going to be prayer and they will likely talk about Jesus Christ and Salvation. If you need to use the restroom the closest thing they have to an outhouse are porta johns. They are clean and there's plenty of hand sanitizer. The livestock are well cared for healthy and loved. These are rodeo bulls and horses and they enjoy doing their job. The bull fighters as they are called do a great job at protecting the riders the public and the cattle. The medical professionals are always right there when needed, and ultimately the dogs are the real stars of the show. Any time that the bulls need to be herded they can send out the herding dogs and they will make quick work of putting the bulls back in the corral. This is how God designed these animals. No one has to tell the herding dog that he's there to heard cattle and no one has to tell the bull that he should buck or the horses to run. These animals have a great home and a good life. The rodeo always gives us the opportunity to honor our United States Veterans and Active Military Members and to recognize our Police, Fire, and Medical Professionals. We are given the opportunity to recognize our Elderly and those that are not able to participate, and to pray for them. I recently read some of the negative reviews on google. (There are not many). For those of you that are worried about the appearance of the buildings, or that if it rains you could get wet, or that the ground may get muddy, or if your worried about not having running water to wash your hands with, or if you are offended by the name of Jesus, perhaps you would better enjoy an event like the theater or maybe a nice ballet. Thats not really my thing but I am going to have a good time watching the rodeo and watching these cowboys and cowgirls and these amazing animals do their sport. In my review I give Fox Hollow Rodeo Five Stars and I encourage anyone and everyone to try it. There is something at the rodeo...
Read moreWe were given great weather the day we visited; therefore the rodeo was outdoors. I thought the experience was wonderful! HOWEVER; the director or owner; whoever the main announcer was; he was very open and blunt about his political and religious beliefs! I felt out of place and embarrassed by how he basically made us participate in his ways of being religious????? Not sure how to word that! Attend a show and maybe you'll feel how i did? He talked a lot about God; which was fine. That's my belief to. However he had his own interpretation on how we should worship and give praise. That i didn't like! You can't cuss, and say words of hate towards a person or government member and than expect a whole crowd of ppl to agree with you! The bible is strict! The bible is clear on what we should and shouldn't do! You can't take something from it and tweak it to fit what your currently doing and expect strangers to follow you! I appreciate him trying to spread the word of God! But not how he did it! I had a lot of explaining to do to my son after we left because he had a million and 1 questions!!!!!! Than they had a church band? Idk. That was entertainment while they took a break i guess? Not sure. We left at this point! But again you shouldn't be forcing ppl who PAID to see a show; a rodeo; make us listen to them preaching to us. And only way we can see end of show is to stay! I love God! I try my best every day to not only talk with him but ask him to help guide me! I strive everyday to be better than who i was yesterday! But he came off as he had all the answers; we were all idiots and he was saving us!!!!!!!! Keep definitely spreading His word. But maybe not forcing it! Or advertise that the rodeo is a religious atmosphere!!!!!!
Tickets were a reasonable price! Food a little pricey! Clothing definitely way to expensive!
Oh and he talked a lot about no alcohol on his grounds. But a bull rider sat his family in front of us before he went on. And he was drunk! And had a tall can of Budweiser in his back pocket that he cracked open before he went to ride his bull! So the main guy preached to us the whole show how drinking and drugs were bad and ruined his life and that's why it's not tolerated there BUT your cowboys can do it!!!!!!!!!! It was...
Read moreBlack listed for not giving them money for photos - offered MANY times to sign a contract for being their official photographer and offered social media images to them for advertising. Never could get an answer from them, even asked David in person and was brushed off. Later had Rod come up to a rider I knew demanding to know where the photographer was (mind you there were at least 5 other photographers there that night and maybe he had the same conversation with them all - I'm not sure). However, he claimed that I was saying I was Fox Hollows official photographer online - where? I would love to see the comments that I claimed to be their official photographer because I never did. I will admit, I would comment and say I would be up there shooting - but never claimed I was the official photographer because I wanted a contract in place which they never answered on via phone (left voice-mails) and emails. However, I was told that Rod hadn't been told any of that, I offered to pull my outbox up on email and he refused to even look at it (I had the proof I reached out - I don't delete business emails). I barely make enough money to cover entry, gas, and food/drinks that I purchase during the rodeo. I normally would have a group come up with me (my brother and his friends), my brother also was riding up there at the time (so add rider fees into it as well - not to mention equipment rental because we weren't gonna drop $300 on a bull rope if he wasn't serious about it). I made MAYBE, MAYBE $30 to $40 dollars every Saturday. Entry is $15 a person, I'd be losing money unless I started charging way more for my photos which I don't want to do because I want to remain a budget friendly photographer because I know rodeo cab be expensive. Not to mention they aren't safe, they don't put riders safety first - the ground is rock hard, bulls are not properly cared for, and riders are rushed out of the gate. Many riders has voiced their concerns to me, they are scared to speak up because they don't want to be black listed - I've decided enough is enough and I need to speak...
