Shout out to the CPL Staff! . My son was at the CPL today using the computers and minding his own business . He was the only African American person in the library this afternoon. An old white guy goes to the library staff and says he is uncomfortable with my son being in the library because he is black ! It’s so sad there are still these old individuals still alive trying to continue spreading hate! The staff informed this person that everyone has a right to be in the library and that he needed to leave since he was uncomfortable with black people being there. I am so glad they defended my son . I love this library! The redesign is nice, but it's the kind and helpful staff that really make it special. I love coming here after work to do some school work, send a few emails, and just generally unwind. I love that during this time, the library is usually bustling with activity -- with people checking out books, getting computer help, or just relaxing.
