I was not impressed with the service at the front. The girls who took our money had no interest or training in customer service. The entire interaction was awkward. It cost our family of 4 $17.00. I would say it was worth the cost. Overall It is a very small museum, you could spend up to one hour in here. I think it is more for kids than anything. My kids had a lot of fun. I have a one year old and a 4 year old. There is a water table to float boats. There is a animatronic show talking about the sawmill industry. There is tiny wood cabins that each have different features. There is a horse stable; a kitchen, a bunk house. My kids had a nice time. It was a 50 minute drive to get here, from the quad cities.

What a great hidden gem! My wife and I were visiting family in Port Byron when we found the sawmill museum. There's a great mix of items for adults and children. You could tell that they invested in quality exhibits. We loved the water exhibit, the interactive log raft, and the animatronic lumber barons (which were so realistic as to be borderline creepy! Lol) we spent a solid two hours there, and will probably visit again!

Enjoyed out groups tour thru the museum. Lots of rich history of the clinton area saw mills and business. Enjoyed looking at the different machines to pictures of the old rafts ect. Over that they had different areas for the kids to interact and play with things. They have a water table that the kids can close gates ect and float down boats and logs. Great place to visit for a few hours. I would recommend checking it out.

Must check out this Clinton tradition. History is going to enlighten you on Clinton and it's past how we developed. How we got it out the mud and developed into the money town.... The place to be. Now are values as a community has drained into this sense of factory work. No one wants to do factory, get real clinton. We could have great opportunities you if we just had the money. Well the money comes from prestigious jobs. Ones that can hire 1000's... I can't wait to bring town back...
