Salmon are coming back!! I'm so excited. Since the rain.."240" so far. And now this second atmospheric rain! Can't wait to see many more! Awesome!!! If you are disabled and want to see the salmon getting ready to spawn you can park inside the gates. This is a beautiful center dedicated to the history of the area and has information regarding the native people, wildlife, plants, and much more. There is also a fish hatchery on the property where you can learn about the life cycle of Steelhead, Coho Salmon and Chinook Salmon and actually see them returning via a fish ladder at certain...

I might be biased, but this is a great place to visit. Great visual information, friendly staff, you can learn so much here. Definitely visit the hatchery and learn what is being done to revitalize the fish populations. They have maps for hiking the area and souvenirs for purchase.
