If you’re thinking about a weekend at Trattore Farms, go ahead and book it! I recently enjoyed an unforgettable girls’ weekend at The Barn, and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
The Barn was fully equipped with everything we needed to feel at home. We made homemade pasta for dinner in the well-stocked kitchen, enjoyed movies on a huge TV, and spent evenings on a deck that overlooks the stunning vineyards and Dry Creek Valley. The cozy bunk beds let us all stay in the same room, making late-night chats even more fun.
For anyone visiting Trattore Farms, I highly recommend taking the tour with Edd. He’s not only hilarious and kind but also a wealth of knowledge about the wine and olive oil industry. He took us on an ATV ride through the property, where we learned about their sustainable composting and water treatment systems—seriously impressive engineering by Tim! Edd’s stories about the wine and olive oil business were fascinating, and did you know extra virgin olive oil is the most counterfeited product globally?
Of course, the wine and olive oil tastings were phenomenal, but what truly made the experience unforgettable were the people, especially Edd, and the beautiful setting. Watching the sunset over Dry Creek Valley was the perfect end to our day.
A 10/10 weekend experience—thank you,...
Read moreWe visited on 2 May and couldn't have been more disappointed. The facility is beautiful, the views across the valley stunning, but the customer service beneath contempt. We arrived about 12 pm before going anywhere else in the valley. We were acceptably dressed and well behaved, and are mature adults. Our reception was, therefore, a complete mystery. We were totally ignored despite waiting for a considerable time for attention. It was not as though they were busy with customers. There was one other group of three there who were not in need of attention. After some time we went outside to admire the view and take pictures. Upon returning there were no other customers at all,and yet, we were again ignored completely. And so, if you enjoy disrespect and humiliation this is the place for you. If you want to taste wine then maybe you had better go elsewhere in the valley as we did. The rest of the day, at other wineries, was awesome. Such a shame that the customer service, care and attention at...
Read moreThis place was beautiful and what drove us in was the sign indicating BUBBLY was served here. The place was not too busy when we arrived and plenty of staff were on hand. The tastings themselves were okay (not the best, but enjoyable enough). The oil and vinegar tasting was pretty neat as well (probably my favorite part!). However, sadly, the lady that was pouring the wine tasting was not quite a good fit for that job. She didn't talk much at all, and that is fine, but if you aren't going to talk about the wine (or anything for that matter), it is VERY AWKWARD to just stand there and stare at the person tasting the product. It made me feel very rushed and uncomfortable. At least make small talk or just simply walk away for a bit and let me enjoy my pour. There were a few others behind the counter who were good to make conversation with, and I wished that they were serving me instead. Otherwise, I can imagine this place was great to sit on the patio and...
