My wife and I had a fabulous time visiting Preston Farm & Winery! The place is lovely. The ambience was only outdone by the wine and our host/server Terrance.

There are many picnic tables around the outdoor area, but we opted for the wicker couch, chairs and table on the portico. Lounging around with Terrance providing us with a variety of fabulous wines and sharing the history of the farm and it’s surrounds for two and a half hours was about the nicest way to spend an afternoon as we could have imagined.

As we sipped some truly great wine, we were graced by the presence of one of the feline residents of the farm, Tuna. Unbeknownst to us, we had chosen Tuna’ favorite napping area. With very little encouragement, Tuna hopped up between us and nestled in as we enjoyed a variety of whites, roses and reds. The wines were great as was Terrance’s depth of knowledge of the wines.

Among our favorites were the Madam Preston, the L. Preston a Nero D’Avola and (our favorite), the Barbera.

All in all, a nicer time we could not have had. Between Tuna and Terrance there was no way we could not have indulged in taking home some of these very interesting and...

We had such a lovely time at Preston Farm and Winery — it was the perfect blend of great wine, beautiful scenery, and genuine hospitality. Lainey and Terrence were incredible hosts, and we loved learning they had Texas ties — it made the warm, friendly vibe feel even more special! And we absolutely have to give a shoutout to Lainey’s sweet dog, Betty — she was the cutest little greeter and definitely added to the charm of the day. Can't forget Tuna, the outdoor cat, who was also a wonderful host, making her rounds and adding a little extra charm to the experience.

The wines were fantastic, with beautiful labels that caught our eye just as much as the flavors impressed our palates. The outdoor seating was ideal for enjoying the sunny weather, and the whole space felt relaxed and inviting.

There happened to be a spring break camp going on while we were there, and the happy energy from the kids made the place feel even more alive. Our own kids had a great time soaking in the scenery and enjoying the open space.

All in all, it was a delightful experience — delicious wine, friendly faces, and a laid-back, joyful atmosphere. Preston is a must-stop if you're...

Underwhelmed, would be an understatement. Drove hundreds of miles to make our picnic table reservation, wine tasting and charcuterie picnic. Arrived 30 minutes late...and they let us know it. We got there at 2pm (they don't close until 4pm) Absolutely no other customers were there. Girl there was friendly enough but nobody to talk to us about the winery, wines available or to tour the facilities. We tried to order a charcuterie plate to enjoy with our wine but there was nothing there except a couple prepacked cheeses to choose from (we were there on a Tuesday, deliveries arrive weds!??). Paid $35 just to sit at a picnic table (which is ok if you actually have anything to eat) then we ordered a bottle of wine. Upside, wine (the Rose) was decent & cats were cute. We had planned on ordering a case of wine to share with friends while visiting in So. Cal. instead decided to just grab a second bottle to take to the hotel before leaving (we didn't want to reward the place for providing absolutely no effort to host) Hugely...

I visited Preston Farm and Winery for the first time last month. I visited with my family and there was a total of 6 of us. We had a lovely time and it was everyone's favorite winery while in Healdsburg. First, the property was beautiful and peaceful. Produce and grapes all grown organically. We packed a picnic from the General Store to enjoy while tasting. Annie was a wonderful and personable host. And the wines were great. It was hard to choose which ones to purchase a bottle of to take home (we settled on the Barbera, Petite Sirah and 1/2 doz eggs. I don't recall the wines everyone else took with them). Now lets talk about the cats. We were blessed with the appearance of Tuna, Ike and Twinkie. Tuna even laid out on our table for a bit. Great wine and cat pets - what is not to love. Can't wait to visit again.

Disclaimer: I am not a sommelier by any stretch of the word. I'd describe my palette as appreciative of fine wine but not above the occasional Bota box or bottle of two buck chuck. This place is a lovely little oasis in the midst of wine country. We picked up some cheese and Sourdough bread and enjoyed a picnic-style tasting on the grounds, with an extra-friendly (not annoyingly so) farm cat who we called Scout. Everyone we encountered was welcoming and friendly, and did not seem to judge the fact that neither my partner nor I were wearing boat shoes or dressed in wine-tasting attire. Side note: this is a thing. Google it. Anyway - we loved the chill vibe and the wine was delicious. Highly recommend bringing some cash for the farm store. Overall, five stars from us!
