ATTENTION: THESE HOURS ARE NOT CORRECT! Next time I go, I will upload a picture of the parkās hours, because I canāt remember all of them at the moment, but I can tell you for sure that IT DOES NOT OPEN UNTIL 12 NOON ON SATURDAY! We were terribly disappointed when we arrived at 10 am this morning, per the hours listed on Google, only to find out it doesnāt open for another 2 hours! This has no effect on my review of the park though, I just wanted to make everyone aware.
In regard to the park itself, Iāve never been inside the gates, but my son and his friends go here literally every single day of the week! No exaggeration. My favorite part??? ITāS FREE!!! I cannot think of many, if any, other places where the kids (and adults) can have this much fun ALL DAY/NIGHT for FREE!! Not to mention all of the additional benefits... the exercise, the fresh air, children engaging in actual human interaction... until my son started going to the Skate Park with his friends everyday, I really felt like all he did/cared to do (if I would allow it) was play video games and watch videos on YouTube!!! I LITERALLY FEARED I WOULD HAVE TO GET HIM INTO TREATMENT FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICE ADDICTION!!! Yes, it sounds kind of funny saying it now, but I remember the horrible reality of the situation... the fear for his well-being... the guilt/failure I felt for letting the situation get to that point! Words simply cannot describe how thrilled and RELIEVED I am for him to be off the electronics, and outside having fun with other kids his age!!! š As cheesy/corny as this may sound, it is truly my hope that Cocoa Beach Skatepark can bring your family the same happiness it has brought...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA free community park that excludes a large part of the community.(bmx and scooters) The only public park to allow them is in west Melbourne. It is utterly ridiculous that they can build a public park in Titusville and Cocoa Beach and then exclude entire groups of people. Ever since Paradise funplex was closed, there is absolutely nowhere for BMX to ride. Only other option is to drive to ORLANDO on a WEEK NIGHT, pay money and only get to ride for 3 hours. I am in no way hating on skaters. But I'm sure they would be angry and upset to see a brand new park then in giant bold letters seeing "NO SKATEBOARDS", as if they were a nuisance to the extreme sport community. If you want to help a community, help the whole community and stop discriminating against other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow just reading the park rules is a bummer. There are free public skateparks all over the state that allow all wheels in the parks. How are anything but a skateboard an issue? Blades, scooters, and bikes are a small percentage of users at the open to all parks. No issues at my local. Was going to travel up and down the east coast with the family, but not going stay in Cocoa Beach if I'm not allowed in this park. So much for helping your local economy. It's almost 2023, and closed minded parks...
