From a wheelchair user.. this place is beautiful during Christmas time! Everyone should go if given the chance, unless you're a wheelchair user because the ramps from the parking lot are cracked and inaccessible. This happened because they seemed poorly designed in the first place. Also, when they repaved the parking lot they didn't realign the ramp with the pavement leaving a lump of asphalt in front of the ramp. There were also some sidewalks with that have been curbed out with out accessible exits. There are also places that are impassable because of bridges that could be seen as aesthetically pleasing, but completely nonfunctional to wheelchair users. Come on City of College Station we need access for all.

A very nice experience! Went to the Christmas light show and it was very adorable. The park is a very nice size! The lights were really nice and the fact it was free makes it better. I love how large the bathrooms are and they're pretty clean. The only issue is the light trail towards the back, there wasn't really a very good indication of where it began because the lights starting it were off. It's not a big deal or anything but it might cause someone to trip because it was dark or the start was. But that doesn't really matter for us because we went in through the background entrance to the snowflake trail haha We enjoyed our time spending in the park looking at the lights.

Nice spot in the middle of College Station to enjoy a bit of nature, play, walk or fish. There is a fishing pond with a nice walk way around it with plenty of room to set up a chair, kick back and try you luck. The walking trail is a wide sidewalk that winds through the trees that is great for all ages. If you'd like to play a little basketball they have a couple of courts. Children will enjoy the play ground. There are picnic tables, a pavilion, restrooms and green space to be enjoyed by the whole family. If you'd like to relax and just enjoy being outside pick one of the park benches as your vantage point.

For the most part it is a really great park. It is very clean. I take my toddlers to the park a lot and they love it. Only two complaints really. First, if you go on the weekend, it is full of families with most kids being under the age of six. The playground was definitely designed for kids over 5 of by people who don't have young kids. It just needs more things for smaller kids. Second, the parking is not suitable. During baseball season, the parking lot gets completely full and people leave without taking their kids to the playground because there's just nowhere to park. They even put signs that say don't park in the grass. But where do they expect people to park? They have so much grass area they could add parking. Hopefully they will do so in the future. Also it would be nice if in the future they planned the shading a little larger. During hot days the sun directly hits the small slide for little kids, and makes it impossible for a child to slide on it...

Very good place for the whole family. There's a place for the kids, a basketball field, a tennis court or two, soccer field, baseball field and a trail. It has everything.

On the same note, it is also home to a variety of animals, and some of them may be dangerous if you have very young kids wandering around by themselves. I have seen water snakes, big and small, biting bugs and a white fox. If you are careful, they can be fun.

There are other activities here as well. They are also developing another section of this park, but it will take a few years till completion.

Do keep you fishing license in you pocket if you are fishing here. Game wardens do come here occasionally. You can get fined thousands of dollars over violations.

Do not recommend eating the fish from this park, unless, maybe, you are dying of hunger. Both ponds are filled with herbicides, trash and lead (from fishing gear). If you don't know what herbicides will do to your body. Look...

This park is a wonderful place to visit. There is a walking trail that will provide a good walk with some interesting attractions. They're mainly workout and health related but interesting to see nonetheless. If that isn't your thing, there are plenty of places to relax and several good fishing spots as well. There are two docks with on extending a decent bit out into the water. Just watch your cast, plenty of spots to get caught as evidenced by the "decorations" in the trees. You can find catfish reliably here alongside the other species you generally find in small ponds. Overall a good place to visit. Especially in late November and December when they put the Christmas lights up. Could provide for a somewhat romantic atmosphere given the...
