Great hike to see many of the Garden of the God rock foundations and avoid the big crowds. Most people park at the main gate and do the easier paved walks. We went on a Thursday mid June. We parked at the Trade Post arriving around 8:15am before the main visitors center opens at 9. There was plenty of parking at this time. We walked to The Siamese Twins rock foundations close by. From there you can get onto the Palmer Trail and take it to the north most area at Main parking Lot 2. I would consider the trail fairly easy. It is hard packed but is not stroller friendly. Once you get there, there is a restroom and the paved area. To get back we could have recalled the full Palmer Trail but we took part of the Scotsman back to Palmer...
