Great hike to see many of the Garden of the God rock foundations and avoid the big crowds. Most people park at the main gate and do the easier paved walks. We went on a Thursday mid June. We parked at the Trade Post arriving around 8:15am before the main visitors center opens at 9. There was plenty of parking at this time. We walked to The Siamese Twins rock foundations close by. From there you can get onto the Palmer Trail and take it to the north most area at Main parking Lot 2. I would consider the trail fairly easy. It is hard packed but is not stroller friendly. Once you get there, there is a restroom and the paved area. To get back we could have recalled the full Palmer Trail but we took part of the Scotsman back to Palmer for variety.

We parked in the Cenyral Garden main parking lot and accessed Palmer Trail just north and across the road from the Central Garden Area. From there, we hiked out to the Siamese Twin formation, and then returned via the Scotsman Trail. We thought the trail section was pretty easy although there are some steps and a little bit of climbing along the way. The trails are all well marked and easy to follow.

Visited this trail on a Tuesday after work and didn't have any problems finding parking. This particular path takes your all the way around the main rock formations. It's pretty fast if your an experienced hiker since there's not much elevation change. The entire path is hard packed red soil. Although there were a lot of cars in the lot, I only ran into 2 other people on the trail.
