Easy trail for most fitness levels. I took my 68 year old mother here for a short hike from the nearby parking lot. She is retired and comes from a low elevation but didn't have an issues making to the twins. If you get there before 9am you'll beat most of the crowds to get an uninterrupted pic with the rock formation, after that, especially on a weekend you'll be sharing the space with HUGE crowds. It's common for a tour guide to bring groups of 20 people or more there on the weekends. Depending upon where you parked you can follow the trail deeper into the heart of the park towards the larger rock formations (away from balancing rock) and have something to stop and marvel at every 10-15 minutes along the way depending upon your pace. Horses are common on the trail so keep at eye out for droppings, but they are easy to avoid since most of the trail is relatively wide. Overall beautiful park, but certainly very crowded so don't expect to be surrounded by the...

This is popular so it was somewhat crowded. We waited about 15 minutes in the parking lot to be able to get a spot. This is a short little looping trail that you can start on either end of the parking lot. There's a moderate climb, but the trail is well maintained with steps and it's also well marked. We came across a group of approx twelve on horseback, which was pretty neat. However, do be aware of horse droppings.

The views and rock formations are awesome. You can enjoy different birds such as the magpie. There are various wild flowers, but beware of the cactus just off the trail. They do have beautiful yellow and...
