It's really cool. The history of the water works is so fascinating. It was cool to learn about the steam room and the turbine room and how it affected the whole town. My favorite thing I heard is the water pressure system and how it maintained the pressure it needed by activating a signal which opened and closed the door depending if it needed more water, like if a hydrant was opened it. Needed to stay at a consistent pressure so the water can reach up to 100 feet in the air. 5 stars, I cleared so much!

It was a very interesting place, I got distracted with the outdoor stuff and one of the volunteer guides caught up with me and we talked for quite some time. Mainly distracted by the chicken coop, milking parlor, and apple orchard. As it turns out I never got the indoor portion of the tour, so I'll have to go back again.

Fascinating history, especially if you are a river lover. Great tour guide & tour. Definitely worth a visit at the next open house.

I visited during the open house period. Many volunteers were kind enough to explain things. If you want to know the history of the Fort Collins area, this is a must-visit. Many of the instruments are well preserved and the explanatory materials are...
