This is a great little park that's kind of tucked away so it's a little bit hard to find. There is a small pond that you can fish on but it is catch-and-release and the fish are fairly small. It has a nice covered picnic area but again since there is a pond I'm not sure how super it is for small children because there is a danger of easily falling into the pond which is right next to the picnic. There is a deck also that overlooks the pond at the picnic area, however there is also free access to the pond in other places where there is a danger of small children falling in the pond again plus another small deck area for fishing that's over the pond which has no guard rail and can be stepped right off into the pond. There's some nice shade on some of the paths because it does Trail up to the Highline Canal there. There are also other trails that go through the flying bee Park. I live in the area and I have never seen this park before so it was a delight to find it. I loved it! I'm in a wheelchair and there is wheelchair access and parking and most of the trails are wheelchair accessible although a few have some fairly Steep inclines and declines but they can be avoided or you can go around them and the Highline Canal is perfect for wheelchairs. It's a little hard to find but it's worth it you might want to try it out and do a...
Read moreI spent my young adult years on this property, the white ranch house that stands at the edge of the parking area was my grandparents home for 30 years. I lived in a home that once stood at the edge of a smaller pond just down the hill from the big white house. I am so thankful that the park and walking paths will bring new memories to so many families that will enjoy fishing in the pond or taking family photos with the fall leaves in the backdrop. If you are in the area stop by and enjoy a leisurely walk. The Highlands Ranch Parks department has taken great effort to make this an accessible and enjoyable...

It actually got busy with photographers waiting their turn for the wooden foot bridge, the fallen logs and reflective ponds. From the number of people lining the shore, the fishing was...
