Orchard Valley Farms & Market and Black Bridge Winery — Attraction in Colorado

Cute place, but left me feeling very uncomfortable. My boyfriend and I stood at the counter politely for quite some time without being acknowledged. The staff seemed more focused on their casual conversation with the two elderly couples seated next to us. Eventually we were given wine glasses, but were offered no information or advice on the wine, and the woman serving us promptly went back to her conversation with the other guests. Clearly the problem was not that nobody noticed we were there. What a gem! My husband, 7 year old son and I all enjoyed a visit here. They have very interesting old relics that captivated our attention. The owners of the property and winery were onsite with lots of history to share. The wines were delicious! We did a tasting ($7 for the glass and the tasting is free). We purchased a bottle also. I have been to Black Bridge many times, but never this late in the fall. It was just as wonderful as ever, with added things to do. They had a hay bale slide which even added an element of fun for the kids. I cannot say enough good things about this place and will always come back when we visit the area. The only negative thing I can say is that they did not have any of the adorable Jack-o-lantern propane pumpkins for sale that we were hoping to get, so please bring...
