Bought a 2016 Hyundai Accent here May 3rd. The finance manager (Brent) was able to get me financed and I drove the car home that evening. Didn't drive the car again until Friday evening on the 5th of May a few miles to buy groceries when the check engine light came on! Took car to 3 auto parts stores to have diagnostic tests ran on it and all 3 places had the same result-bad catalytic convertor and it is stage 2/3 severity wise, (which tells me this issue had been going on with this car for quite awhile before I bought it). Called the dealership the following Monday and was basically blown off and told that the diagnostic tests were not always accurate and I had to talk to Ray because he was the one that took care of scheduling vehicles to be put in their garage for repairs. After explaining everything to him he agreed to schedule a day and time for my car to be put in their garage to have the catalytic converter replaced. I drove the car over to the Sullivant Avenue location @11 a.m. on June 16th only to be told that they wouldn't repair my car that morning because I drove alone and didn't have someone to come pick me up and bring me back later, because they didn't want me hanging around and "harassing" their mechanic! ( Sounded kind of shady to me, if someone is reputable and doing what they need to be doing why would they care if someone is watching them or waiting for them to get done repairing their car?) I wasn't told this when the appointment was scheduled by Ray the week before! I tried to contact Ray at the car dealership numerous times over the next few months and was given excuse after excuse instead of getting this car repaired like they initially agreed to do!! He was either not in, (being told that he stepped out for a few minutes), or that he was with other customers, but he never once returned my calls! Moving forward, this is August now, 3 months after buying this car and still no resolution! Last conversation with Ray I asked again, when he would have my catalytic convertor replaced and he said "I don't know!" "I saw you speeding about 70 mph down 104". Total BS! DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE HERE! This is ridiculous! This Hyundai Accent I bought had been stripped down before I got it. It came with NO wheel covers, NO floor mats, NO spare tire, jack or anything else that comes standard and within the first 2 weeks of having this vehicle I had to replace one of its tires, had to have another one plugged, and had to buy a new battery for it because the one in it had a bad cell leaving me stranded! This place apparently doesn't do any kind of diagnostic testing to the vehicles they buy and sell!! Dishonest salesman, making excuses why the car can't be put in their garage and fixed instead of taking care of an issue that has apparently been going on with this vehicle long before I bought it! Smh! Sorry excuses from a car dealership that takes advantage of people with credit issues! It's now September, and I have had to make complaints with the attorney general's office about this dealership! I am a female and disabled and I feel this car dealership is predatory in their business practices, they definitely are NOT honest! Anything to make a sale, but they do not back the quality of their vehicles or their so-called service department. Still NO resolution! Don't waste your time buying anything from these people you will regret it! You're better off going to a buy here pay here lot! I'm paying for a car this dealership sold me that I can't even drive outside the 270 outerbelt because it putters and sputters, doesn't have much power, and will not accelerate like it should, Might as well forget freeway driving because you about get ran over just trying to change lanes! If anything happens and they decide to do what's right and fair I will update this review accordingly, but as of right now nothing has changed!
UPDATE Had to pay 2,120$ out of pocket to fix this issue with my car, that Columbus Auto group West said they would take care of, but was dishonest about when I bought...
Read moreno idea about their vehicles BUT i do know that i had the owner come out and yell and swear at me because i simply stopped to give a homeless person some change, a cigarette and a drink. I was in a legal parking spot for literally just a minute trying to help the less fortunate just to get accosted and threatened. Claimed that i was costing him business by helping the street people. The guy needs some Jesus in his life. I personally wouldn’t do business with anyone like that. God Bless to ALL
edit: since i can’t reply to their reply im updating here. Be Advised that since i didn’t do ANYTHING ILLEGAL AT ALL and there’s absolutely no way that any video can show otherwise that i will sue the hell out of you for slander and defamation of character. Just because someone is homeless, likely an addict and probably a felon as well DOES NOT MEAN that someone can’t stop and offer them assistance at all. If i give out any combination of food, drink, snacks, cigarettes etc to make someone’s day a bit easier that it just being nice AS NOTHING ELSE HAS EVER TAKEN PLACE and again i will sue the hell out of you for saying otherwise
A bit of advice, if you had simply ASKED me to move away from your place of business I would have done so readily. However, you came out very angry, swore at me and threatened me as well which was absolutely wrong as nothing has ever, or will ever, taken place besides helping someone less fortunate. They need assistance in clothing, hygiene products, sometimes even borrow a phone to call relatives. Stop jumping to conclusions which led to your FALSE accusations. Lastly if they persist i will...
Read moreWe bought a car from Brent. We asked if they did inspections on the vehicles they sell there and we were told yes. Brent advertised a vehicle we bought from him as in "excellent condition" and within the first 60 days of owning the vehicle, three big problems happened, one of which could have caused a fatal accident, rusted metal that sent shock busting through back part of SUV! This was overlooked by Brent and his mechanics and still labeled the vehicle as in "excellent" condition. Took the car back to Brent twice and was told he would help. That didn't happen. Called Brent to get the repair going. First Brent said he would call on the part then call me back. Brent never called back. Called and left two more messages for a return call from Brent and still waiting. The mechanic there told me we knew what we were buying but we based that on advertised "excellent" condition. The mechanic also asked me, "Is this regarding the BMW?" which led me to believe someone who bought a BMW is also complaining. Don't buy from these people! They lie just to sell you a car that they inspect then decide you by. Brent, this is...
