Fat Baxter’s — Restaurant in Columbus

Was visiting Columbus for a children's event. Wasn't sure what to expect but wanted to eat there given the highly rated food.

It's a bar. First and foremost. So not for everyone. Our son is 15 and pretty mature for his age and so we were comfortable eating there.

Typical local crowd saddled up to the bar. Few tables for diners. Bartender was server. She was fantastic, urgent and pointed us in some good directions.

We started with potato skins and they were the best that any of us have ever had.

Than we had 2 different types of wings (mango habanero and I forget the other)...the wings not mango hab were excellent, mango hab had good flavor. We also had hand cut french fries that were very good and pizza which was good...

Food is always amazing. It was shocking to be a little hole in the wall bar, that all food was home cooked. They have fair prices, and a verity to choose from. I was told owner cooks all items herself. She definitely puts her heart and soul into it. They have everything from potato, lasagna soup, to wings, pizza, or a fully loaded chef salad.
