Very worthwhile experience going to the museum. I had no idea that the people from Columbus and reserve unit killed so many of Pancho Villas soldiers. Interesting they were more concerned with looting than securing the town of Columbus. Additionally I did not know Columbus was a major city in New Mexico at that time mainly because of the railroad however after the attack Columbus kind of went downhill in terms of population. This is a really great place. There's a lot of history displayed here and there is a lot of history describing notes as well as maps and original stories and photos. Run by the historical society volunteers who are really great. Have visited several times and each time see something I missed before. Learned a lot about the area and how important it was.
