This was our family's first experience here and we all loved it ! Also in my review is a preface to this park if you want the full deal and experience. My company pays and brings us over as a team building event. We had camping slips rented which double as a parking spot. They also make an ideal place to come back, recoup, change clothes, eat, drink and meet up with your other parties. The best part about camping on site is that the park doesn't open until 11 so you have a good amount of time to prepare, make breakfast, and make a game plan for the day. It is especially relaxing after a afternoon of riding on the attractments to have a pit stop. I would suggest going here in off peak hours because you can spend less time waiting in line and ride everything you want. We spent all day Tue/Wed here and it was laid back, wonderful! We split the days into roller coasters the first day and the water park in the second half. It's a large park and if you are not use to walking around a lot I would recommend riding the rides in a consecutive order starting at the wood coasters and rotating around the park. Wear shoes that do not fall off or are easily removable and leave them in the bins or with you party that isn't comfortable with G forces. We have two teenagers and a 5 month old in our party so we needed to accomodate where we could. We made it work and there are many places within the park to sit down, buy food, or drink. It's kid and baby friendly, the price covers all the rides, the food is very reasonably priced. Lets get into the water park. The water park is great for parties or adventurers. The kids disappeared and went on slides for 4 or 5 hours. The 5 month old tolerated the wave pool but LOVED the lazy river. We put her into a life vest and she floated for the first time down the river kicking her feet. We floated with our hands on her monitoring her but it was great to know we didn't have to worry about the teenagers going out on their own. There are life guards EVERYWHERE. They are patrolling constantly, so being able to let the older kids go off and do whatever they want and focusing on your younger child was a relief. This park is very well staffed, the cost of food is reasonable, and the rides are extremely fun to ride. I would suggest this amusement park to any family. It was a team building event for my company that turned into a teamed building event...

First things first, this is literally in the middle of nowhere! Picture this: You’re just driving through Idaho, with all of it’s precious potatoes, and then, all of the sudden, you see not only rides, but also Genuine thrills and roller coasters!!!????!
Now, Since I was staying in Spokane Washington, the drive here was only for about an hour……….
Anyways, we did the water park first before the theme park. and, right away, I noticed that this Water park has better slides than Wild waves in Federal way Washington….I saw a mat racing slide where you lie on a mat on your stomach, and, you obviously race other people. That’s definitely something you don’t see in Washington water parks, and that was a fun ride.
They also have other things like a kiddie pool, lockers, lazy river, and wave pool (wasn’t open when I went)….If you go back farther, you can find even more water slides. Most of them were similar to the ones at Wild waves, but there was this one tall slide that you wouldn't see in any 0f Washington’s water park’s. I believe they also serve L’e food, but all I remember, was that they had dippin dots.
At Boulder Beach and the actual Silverwood park, None of the staff were rude. It wasn’t too busy, and overall, I had a way better time here than at Wild waves.
Now, just like the Wild wave’s situation, I’m not sure what was the last thing they added to Boulder beach. I know the theme park got a new roller coaster, but what about new things at Boulder Beach???????
Other than that, I really wish that Silverwood as a whole could be in Washington instead of Wild Waves. Not saying Wild Waves is bad, but this could really be a good welcome in Washington……
I obviously won’t drive 5 HOURS (I live in Tacoma) just to go here, but is the best theme and water park in the Pacific Northwest! Overall, 5/5 stars. Would Highly recommend going here, instead of going to Wild waves…………
(I’m not a critic)!!!!!!!!!??? (Seriously...
Read moreArriving from Utah, Silverwood & Boulder Beach felt like discovering a hidden gem in Northern Idaho—roughly a six‑hour drive from Salt Lake City. From the start, I was impressed by how spotlessly clean and well‑themed the park is. Gorgeous gardens and Western music create a relaxed atmosphere that doesn’t tire you out like bigger parks do .
One‑price entry covers both the dry theme park and Boulder Beach water park. On a hot summer day (we hit nearly 97 °F), Boulder Beach was the perfect escape—lazy river, two wave pools, and slides like Ricochet Rapids, Riptide Racer, Avalanche Mountain, and Velocity Peak pack serious fun for all ages . The newer water coaster Eagle Hunt (925 ft long) and kids zone Salmon Run are recent additions that add fresh excitement .
We arrived at opening, sprinted to Ricochet Rapids to beat the crowds, and scored a lounge chair near the grass hill between Riptide Racer and Wave Pool—a favorite insider tip . The water park got busy by early afternoon, so heading back to the theme park mid‑day was a good move.
On the dry side, rides like Stunt Pilot, Aftershock, Tremors, and Timber Terror kept thrill-seekers happy, while classics and simulators are perfect for younger visitors . We grabbed a locker ($10/day) at entry to ease moving between parks, which made the day much smoother .
Park food was surprisingly affordable—big slices, sandwiches, and the famous refillable souvenir cup made snacks easy on the budget . The train ride through the park’s lush landscape was a delightful break and highlighted the park’s historic roots .
In sum, Silverwood delivered a perfectly balanced family adventure: quieter than big chains, but still rich in attractions. For an Utah traveler, it’s an unexpected treat—affordable, well-run, and packed with both relaxation...
