Very cool 2 mile trail (one way). The drive into the park is stunning with tons of overgrowth and canopy coverage. The road is narrow and you’ll need to be considerate every time oncoming traffic approaches. The trail itself has a ton of switch backs and fairly steep inclines. Difficult = 7/10; would not recommend it for children under 10 and definitely not stroller friendly. I can’t recommend it for trail running because the slops/ gradient is so aggressive. Great views of the lighthouse can be had 1/2 way through the trailhead. Opposite the trail is an awesome scenic lookout immediately next to the parking lot. It’s easily accessible in a stroller and is paved. Great views of Cannon Beach to the South. There were elk roaming around the parking area as well. Cheers!

Hiked 3/17/24 Moderate hike that took roughly 1.5 hours. Will need to pay $5 for day use parking unless you have the state park permit. Pros: great views, nearby parking lot, accessible beach after hiking Cons: non-flushable toilets

This is a nice moderate trail, with beautiful views of the woods and then coastal views as you go along the trail. At the top. There's a view of the lighthouse. The trail has a loop. It's about 2.8, mi.

Nice, short (1h/1h30) and easy to follow trail. The first half is a rather steep slope upwards, second half downwards (it’s a loop). The views from the sea side are fantastic. We recommend to start early (10 am) before the sun is too high and it becomes crowded, especially on summer weekends. Park your car at the beach and we recommend you start the loop following the inland way (road like, wider), that way you’ll be protected by the trees on your way up and you will enjoy more the beautiful views while descending on...
