Cocoa Beach Jet Ski Rentals — Attraction in Merritt Island

Me & my family woke up early & traveled a 2 hour car journey to have a jet ski experience… we arrived at this establishment 06/17/25 (12pm) upon walking in there were two guys sat behind the front desk, I explained I was looking to book a jet ski & they couldn’t have cared less about my business I asked how to do so & it was like getting blood out of a stone trying to get the information out of them.

They then explained the process in which I had to scan a QR code to get a temporary license which costs an additional $10 as its the law, I would have to take a 25 question test. I agreed to do this & they pointed out the QR code on the desk to do so… upon scanning the QR code I needed a WiFi connection to access the test. I then asked if I could connect to the WiFi to do so & both of them just looked at me and sighed as if i was an inconvenience to there chilling out session on shift “oh I don’t know what the WiFi password is” was the reply … so I mandatorily hade to take this 25 question test but both members of staff didn’t even know the password to connect to the WiFi so I could take the test , he then added it would be a $300 deposit for the jet ski.

I’m not one to write bad reviews but this was an absolute joke of an establishment no customer care it was like they were trying to get me just to leave & spend my money elsewhere. If I were in charge of this operation I’d take a cold hard look at your staff on shift as they have cost you my friends & families business and I’m sure many others.

Complete let down. Requested information 4 weeks before our trip - no response. I called directly and asked about jet ski rentals specifically asking requirements for my 15yo to drive alone. I was told that all he needed was a state approved boating certification. I put both my kids through an 8 hour NYS NASBLA course for $35 each. Upon arrival the story changes and we are told that their policy is that he cannot ride alone. Also, riding is restricted to a very small area in front of their shop. None of this is detailed in their website. No reservations - walk in only - waited in line for 30 minutes to be refused service. Update: Thanks your your response two-years later! It is an obvious effort to devalue an honest negative review. In any case, what may be on your website now, wasn't on your website then. And there is also the issue of me calling and specifically asking about the terms and services and then getting another situation upon my arrival. In then end, you are still dishonest and...

An absolutely amazing experience with Cocoa Beach Jet Ski Rentals! 🌊 From start to finish, the team was friendly, professional, and incredibly accommodating. Everything we needed — including life vests — was included in the rental, making it super easy and enjoyable to just show up and have fun!

A special shout-out to Justin, our jet ski guide, who went above and beyond to make the experience unforgettable. He took the time to show us the little crabs and shrimp living in the ropes under the tiki platform — such a cool touch that made us appreciate the beauty of Cocoa Beach even more. 🦐🦀

The jet skis were fast, the location right on the river was stunning, and the whole experience was filled with laughter, sunshine, and sea spray. 🌴☀️ Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure on the water!
