East Fork Overlook — Attraction in Brevard

I officiated a wedding right next to East Fork Overlook but due to the Smoky Mountains, the sky was so smoky, we couldn't see the mountains. We had the ceremony on the trail to get a great background but The photographer Ann Griffin Love2Roam photography decided to head down the mountain below the clouds to East Fork for improvisation which was perfect. We got tremendously great photos, I took some videos, and the couple absolutely loved it. There are spectacular views, often complemented by beautiful cloudscapes.

It is often underutilized and the quiet allows the sights and soft sounds of nature, including flowing water and gentle breeze to be appreciated.

In cooler seasons, the adjacent large rock face is often covered with ice. Especially pretty when the Sun brings a slow melt.

Visit early when the weather is cooperative and you will likely be treated to a beautiful sunrise.
