Great campground to stay before early morning hike in Old Rags Mountain 20mins away. Pros: free wifi, free style camping with no assigned site, quiet after quiet hour begins, there's also cabins and rooms available by the same owner if you suddenly decided to not camp. Cons: no water in any kind but there's a market 2min away to buy water from (closes at 5pm except 7pm on Sat), dry toilet so typical cleanliness issues that come together with it, no assigned place to brush teeth (might be just my personal issue since I don't feel comfortable spitting toothpaste water on the grass where people might set up their tent in the future?). Given the $10/adult price this campground is great, and I wouldn't mind paying double if potable water and flushable toilet...

So much nicer than a state/national Park campground. During the weekdays in summer there are only a couple people each night spread across several acres.

The flies are a little bothersome, but there were NO mosquitoes when I stayed in the beginning of August.

WIFI!

I parked a class c with a motorcycle. I didn't mind running the generator for AC all night because others are spread so far away. Very close to old rag trailhead, but a little farther from the entrances to Shenandoah national Park. So be cognizant of what your daily plans are if they include going...

$10pp per night. We did the primitive camping and it’s essentially camping in a field. There is a bathroom- no running water. The toilet is a hole-in-the-ground style. Lots of spiders in the bathroom. Wasp nests on the outside of the bathroom structure. Payment is on the honor system, although I think someone might come around at night if you haven’t paid. You place a tag in your car so they know who has paid. Close to hiking trailheads. Easy access. Would probably do again, but would probably pee in the woods before hanging out with those...

Greaves Mountain is certainly a very hard ride but well worth it. Climbing the devils backbone is pretty steep and works the horses up into a bucket of sweat. It's a few miles up the steep Mountain, but well worth the top. The picture with the picnic table that is the very top of the devils backbone Mountain, breath taking views, picture doesn't do it justice you have to be there to really appreciate it.

Sounds of nature and great views. Walkable to the main lodge and creek. Porta jons available. Advise camping further away from road due to noise and speed of vehicles. Bright lights shine through night from stable area, so tent camping is preferable to out under the stars. No sites, set up where you like. Previous fire circles abound. Several shady areas with trees and decent level land.

Great deal! $10 and you get free wifi, just stop at the Market or go to the lodge across the street for the password. Plenty of space to camp. Ground is soft and level. No fire pits but you can use rocks to make your own, just put the rocks back. An outhouse is available but no running water. Perfect location to hike Old Rag or Whiteoak Canyon
