Beware: I'm writing because I'm very concern for this place. People Vail resort is trying promoting cal lodge. Its not the best place to ski. There trying to make it like Aspen Colorado. California only has 30% slope... You should explore that Don't kept up with stagecoach and boulder lodge the manager carrie she is a native to south lake Tahoe area. She has work on the mountain for longtime and she doesn't get the credit she deserve. Fyi remember before sending your friends your family or friends to ski school. I met a guy there that he only been snowboarding 3 months and he is snowboard instructor... That's very scary that they will hire anyone and train them to teach how snow board and most don't have degree. I would ask for a instructor That's been there for long time. Most of there employees J1. Unless the incident they don't drug test most people. That work there either smoke weed or snuff coke. Also they don't do background check on any employee. That's very scary. Most of the hr stuff are nice but there only there for themselves comes down to it they will you under the bus. Most of the ski rental shop there they are knowledge david and chad or rick they are very skill in ski and snowboard these guys take pride in the job. Everyone is wondering how i know all this stuff is because i worked there. They calm the want you to have experience of a lifetime.. But you pay alot of money .. This place is pretty but its not like Aspen CO. VAIL Resorts only cares About 💰. They dont value there employee. They run you in the ground and when u cant work no more the replace you. anyways I've said my peace. Lift $100 and up . ski rent 50 and up and your have to wait in line. A meal with drink $25 bloodymary $22 A beer $12 most of there clothes beanie $40 everything else is $65 or more.....
Read moreIt’s been almost 25 years since I have put on a pair of ski boots, and I let Benjamin at Heavenly Sports know that when I walked in today to purchase some. He took his time answering all of my questions, and was extremely helpful with making sure I found the perfect pair.
I learned so much from him and couldn’t be happier with the ones he recommended. Benjamin could have sold more a more expensive pair, but he’s an honest Bootfitter and recommended the ones I purchased over other ones that were hundreds of dollars more.
What is immediately noticeable with Benjamin is that he takes pride in what he does and wants you to have a great experience as soon as you walk thru the door. He also mentioned that if I have any issues with the boots or need adjustments in the future, I can bring them back to him at Heavenly Sports and they will honor the warranty.
It’s a great store with a lot of good sales, and they are lucky to...
Read moreI stopped by at this store to get my skis examined and tuned up at the end of 2019 season. The edges were previously sharpened by several other shops but I kept feeling no edge grips. James Fox masterfully examined the skis with several tools and patiently explained to me that the problem was not lack of sharpness of the edges, but the convexity that was created by repeated sharpening without grinding of the floor of the skis. He went through several rounds of grinding and a bit more sharpening to adjust for that, and wanted me to try them for a run. They were better than brand new. He picked up the details that escaped the attention of several experts in other ski shops. Not only he fixed my skis but he taught me several important details about ski tune up that I did not know after a life time of skiing. I will always stop by at this place as long as James is going...
