Set an appointment up for my wife months in advance. We went in person she told him what she wanted, made deposit. No communication until the day of. Then he tells no black and grey, only color bc it’s a cover up. Ok cool, she sends multiple designs and he just text back. “It’s not really working for him” “it’s not what he does”. So months of waiting, a deposit gone, and no tattoo and left on read… For someone that charges $1200 a session… really crappy communication and disinterested attitude at best. update to owners response you sent 1 design with random faces on it. That was clearly just generated online. You left her on read… then after the review proceeded to call / text / VM like crazy and went to instagram like a 12 year old girl. Who does that? Nothing I said in my review was an inaccurate. You saw the cover up in person months ago and could have said anything then. “Fix someone else’s work” do you hear yourself? EDIT Since the original review, I have gotten tattooed by Fern 3x times. His work is incredible. Carson is no longer up front, and Jenn greets you there (very sweet and understanding). The entire atmosphere of the shop is still great, clean, and welcoming.

Blown away by the service (Carson is incredible up front), artists, atmosphere- there is not a hint of being ir feeling unwelcome. The second you walk in, you are welcomed with good energy and attitudes and they are timely and polite. ARTIST: Fern (@tattoosbyfern)- incredibly talented, quick, and put his heart and soul into the big piece on my stomach and I cannot wait to keep going back to work on my canvas little by little. We took little breaks throughout the 5 hour session and I was extremely comfortable and confident the entire time. Super impressed that such an amazing shop is in lil ole’ Porter, Texas. Man where should I start. Everyone in the shop is so professional from the first time you call them to set up your appointment until even after you are finished. Karson was my gateway to Fern. She is so polite and keeps you updated on your appointment times and possible cancellations. The day of my appointment, I had Fern reach out to me to go over the drawing and placement of the tattoo. Man he is the coolest dude ever. When you get there, he starts immediately. It’s no wasting time and you see his only priority the entire session. I’m going in for my third session with him in December to finish up my sleeve and I tell you, from the conversation from not only him but everyone in the shop, you feel so welcome. So far I’m 16 hours in my sleeve but it is well worth it. To have someone like Fern, who is so detail oriented( and that’s what you want with a permanent change on your body) take is time is awesome. I’m planning on adding more and more and he will be my artist....
