Compared to other Amtrak stations, regarding architecture and building design, this is one of the most boring stations. No distinctive architectural features or designed to the building. It just looks like a big box almost like a department store on the outside when you're approaching the building. And on the inside, there is a nice size waiting area, the restrooms were clean. However there is only a few vending machines that sell food and drinks. However the staff are very helpful and friendly when you enter the building.

This is an old style 1970’s station out in the middle of an industrial zone. There is nothing within walking distance. This is so isolated at even Uber pool would not pick me up. I had to walk three blocks IN THE DARK to the Uber pool pickup location. So much for train travel to the center of the city. No local train/metro station nearby. There is a local bus stop with a sign pointing to the Miami Beach bus. Two Amtrak trains a day leave one at 8am and one at noon.

The Miami Amtrak Train Station, located at 8303 NW 37th Avenue, offers a convenient travel option for those journeying by rail. This station, part of the larger Miami Intermodal Center, serves as a hub for various transportation modes, including buses and rental cars, enhancing its accessibility.

Upon arrival, passengers will find a modern facility with ample seating and clean amenities. The station is designed with efficiency in mind, featuring clear signage and helpful staff, making navigation straightforward for first-time visitors. The waiting area is spacious, with a decent range of food and beverage options, albeit somewhat limited in variety.

For travelers concerned about connectivity, the station provides Wi-Fi, although the speed can be variable during peak times. Additionally, ample parking is available, and the station is well-connected to the city's public transportation network, facilitating easy commutes to and from the downtown area.

However, the location, while strategically positioned for transport links, might feel remote for those looking to explore central Miami without additional travel. The area around the station is industrial, offering limited attractions or dining options nearby.

Overall, the Miami Amtrak Train Station is a functional and well-maintained facility, ideal for those prioritizing convenience and efficiency in their...

I recently traveled with my small children on the Amtrak route from Jacksonville to Miami, and I was very disappointed with the behavior of one of the café attendants, Jose. When I went to buy something from the café, he refused to serve us because my young kids were only wearing socks. He told us to walk all the way back to the front of the train to put their shoes on before returning.

I could understand if there were clear safety or hygiene policies in place, but there were no signs anywhere on the train saying “no shoes, no service.” What really upset me was not the request itself but the rude attitude and lack of respect in how it was handled.

To make things worse, as I started walking back to my seat with my kids, the situation was announced over the overhead speaker, which was completely unnecessary and embarrassing. As a parent traveling with small children, I felt humiliated and singled out.

I truly hope Amtrak reviews this incident and reminds staff to treat passengers with kindness, professionalism, and basic respect—especially families traveling...

We've traveled from Miami to Tampa twice on Amtrak. The first time, the train was on time, but the cabin was straight out of the 70s, dirty and it kind of smelled. The second time, the train was delayed by two hours. There are also no reliable signs for departure or arrival information. Case in point, the departure information currently posted in the terminal for our train is for 35min ago, which is 2 hours ahead of the actual (updated) departure time. And people wonder why trains are not a viable transportation option in the US.

On the plus side, ticket prices are reasonable, there are no security checkpoints, the seats have tons of legroom, the luggage policy is very liberal and you don't have to sit in a car for hours to get to your destination. But if you're taking the train, the departure time is really just an estimate of the earliest you will depart. Over the past year, we've taken Amtrak 4 times. Our train left the station within 2 hours of its scheduled...
