We rented a spot for three weeks at this campground. All of the spots are privately owned, but the entire campground is clean and well maintained. The pond is stocked for catch and release fishing. We never encountered any issues with other campers being too noisy or bothersome. We stayed during the month of October, and the campground was very quiet. There didn't seem to be very many people around. I had only two concerns with the campground. First, the spots are tiny. We barely were able to get our slides out. My son actually cried a little when we pulled in because he realized that he wouldn't have much space to play outside. The second concern is the playground equipment. The rock wall had several of the holds broken due to rotting wood, and the rope was also broken. The equipment looked like it was made by an amature, did not look well maintained, and I worried that it was not safe for my 5-year-old to play.

The residents we met were generally friendly. Our immediate neighbor had a camera in his window that looked only at our site. It made me more than a little uncomfortable. There were a few overtly political flags flying at some of the sites and many religious signs (evangelical). Take that...

A Hidden Gem in the Smokies – Outdoor Resort Gatlinburg

We absolutely loved our stay at the Outdoor Resort in Gatlinburg, TN! This peaceful RV park is truly a hidden gem tucked away in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. The scenery is serene and calming—perfect for anyone looking to relax and unwind. The park itself is beautifully maintained, with clean grounds and attractive landscaping throughout.

One of the best parts was the friendly atmosphere. Everyone—from long-time RV owners to fellow travelers—was incredibly welcoming and respectful. It made the whole experience feel like a little community away from home.

The resort has two very nice pools, which were always clean and never overcrowded—a great way to cool off on warm days. Each property within the resort is well cared for, reflecting the pride people take in this wonderful place.

And location-wise, you can't beat it—just a short, scenic drive to downtown Gatlinburg. It’s close enough to enjoy all the action but far enough to feel like you're in your own peaceful mountain retreat.

We’re already looking forward to our next visit....

ORA is a great campground. (No tents are allowed, but when I want to tent camp I go elsewhere.) There are a lot of tie downs, but this park is super clean and neat. Many of the tie downs are available to rent by calling the park office. That being said there are still lots for rent. The park has free WiFi. The lots are well mowed, and the scenery is varied. You can get lakeside, creekside, mountain lots, flat lots, and even near the pool. There are actually 2 pools. One olympic size for the whole family and one smaller one for adults only located near the trout pond. There are 3 bathhouses, all very clean. There is a nice laundry facility and a snack bar that is pretty good. If you turn left out of the park, Cobbly Nob Pizza is notfar down the road (not much to look at, but YUMMMMY!) The Greenbrier and Cosby entrances to the GSMNP are not far away. It's about 20-30 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg. Several short cut backroads can get you to Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, just ask a park employee or one of the "residents" that have a tie down. ...

Made a last minute reservation on our cross country relocation, during a very busy tourist time in the smoky mountains. Very close to the national park. Very kind site managers. We were hoping for a small rv campsite secluded in nature, but with the last minute request there were no openings and referred here. It was a very large rv park and not quite what we were looking for but we asked to be placed along one of their waterfront sites. They placed us in the back (spot 295), and despite the closeness to the other campers it was gorgeous, right along the creek. The wifi didn't work and we didn't have cell phone service at that spot, but that ended up being a nice change of pace being unplugged and if we needed reception or wifi we were able to go to their on-site laundry mat about 300 yards away and have both cell and wifi service. We went from ending up camping at a place we thought we really wanted to avoid to having a peaceful and relaxing 3 days with multiple quick trips to see the breath taking smoky mountains.

We rented a Vrbo camper and stayed a week here and couldn’t have enjoyed it more! I definitely think it’s one of the best RV parks in the area, after comparing to others we seen while in town. There is a strong sense of a friendly community within the park, very welcoming and neighborly folks. All the lots looked clean and well kept, nothing run down or unsightly. Quiet and no noisy neighbors, the highway can be loud if you’re parked right next to it but that can’t be helped. It’s also a bonus that directly surrounding the whole park is forests so the chances of seeing wildlife is great. The pool and other free activities here were nice as well, and it felt like a safe place to stay with family/kids. There is a gate you need a code or clicker to be able to come and go. One of my favorite things about this place was the beautiful stream / creek running throughout and also a pretty pond. Definitely recommend and would stay here again. The photo is of a little wild rabbit right outside our camper the first day there.
