Me and my family were from out of town on vacation, so obviously the course to us, is new. We are obviously not familiar with the layout. It was me, my husband, my 10 month old son, and my sister-in-law, and her boyfriend. My husband and my sister-in-law’s boyfriend was in one cart, and me and my sister-in-law and my son were in another golf cart. At hole 1, there is a small fork-off and we were going on the wrong way, when we saw one of the employees sitting in a golf cart, we asked him if we were going the right way or was it the other way, he then cusses at my husband and says, “You see my ass sitting here don’t you” my husband then asks why was he cussing at us and being rude when all we did was ask for SIMPLE DIRECTIONS. We went to shop on the course to complain and he was already in there talking to whom I would assume was the manager. By the time I reached the shop, my husband and the manager were already in a heated discussion. I butt in to tell him, that all we did was ask him which way we were supposed to go, there was no need for him to cuss at my husband and have a nasty attitude. The old man who cussed at husband laughs and walks away while we’re telling the manager what he did. I then tell the manager, “see idk why he has an attitude” and the guy goes, “he doesn’t have an attitude, he’s walking away because he knows he has to” and then I tell him, “so why is he laughing? What’s so funny about the situation when he’s cussing with 2 women and a minor present?” The manager says, “there’s isn’t anything funny” exactly. So is this what’s going to happen when you have people who are not familiar with the course? Get cussed at? We continued on playing, and middle of the course I had to use the restroom to change my son, the shop was closed and one other employee saw us, he approached us, and said he would show us the other restroom, he went to get another cart to guide us. That man was a shorter, white male, and was much more helpful and extremely nice. I wish I could’ve gotten his name to compliment him specifically, he even went out his way to let our partners know that he showed us the way to the restroom, and before he left, told us how to find our way back. Unlike the older, white male from the beginning. And from reading other recent reviews, seems like we weren’t the only ones with rude experiences. This happened on shift of August 4th towards the...
Read moreI really didn't want to like this course because of their ridiculous tee time policies, but I loved it. First, the maddening part. They will not accept tee times for singles or twosomes before 10am each day. I've never heard of that! Do they know they are in a vacation spot, where dads and husbands just want to break away and play some golf? Kiva Dunes and Lost Key gladly took my money, and much more of it, and accommodated me as single, early in the morning. Forget the fact that a single can't get a tee time, but how does a twosome not have the ability to get a time? It's wrong on so many levels. I called the shop about 5pm on a Wednesday, trying to play as a single the next morning. According to their online tee sheet, there were 8 open tee times before 10am, and told me they couldn't get me on because I was a single. Now the course. I loved it. Every hole was challenging, but still playable. Tee shots made you think. Greens were really well designed. I really liked how all the green sites were cut fairway level in areas around the green. Each hole held your attention from the tee shot to the hole out. Just a fun design and a strong test, while being really fair. Course was in really good shape. Please do what's right for the game, don't be so greedy, and change your tee time restrictions. I almost skipped playing because I had such difficulty getting on, and that would have been a shame. This course deserves to be seen, which means better...
