Fat Dragon Thai Food and Boba Smoothies — Restaurant in Elberta

I’m in town visiting my sister and I saw this place was super close to their house. They had awesome reviews so I was very excited to try it out. I want to preface with saying that I love Asian foods and I live in Houston Texas (which is a melting pot of people!).

This place was SO VERY GOOD. Prob some of the best Thai food I’ve had in awhile. Their menu isn’t extensive but everything was made fresh to order. It’s a lovely couple who run it and they are so thoughtful and accommodating.

You place the order and they bring it to your car. It is a food truck and I did notice some seating but I chose to bring it home. We paid about $53 for chicken pad Thai, chicken drunken noodles and vegetable stir fry. When they brought me the food, I was not expecting it to weigh 15lbs and almost dropped the bag! It was a little pricey but each entree is probably 2-3 people’s worth of food.

Also, the owner apologized for the wait and brought me a small thai tea for my patience and it was very good. A little bit on the sweet side for me, but it balances out the spiciness of the food.

I moved states a couple of years ago and where I live now doesn’t have any good Thai food options. While on vacation to Pensacola I came across this food truck and decided to get my fix and oh boy did they deliver! I ordered the chicken pad Thai and this might be the best pad Thai I’ve ever eaten. It was made incredibly fresh and every bite is so delicious! When I first ordered it felt a bit expensive, but when I received my food I quickly realized it could result in at least 4-5 meals, so when broken down it’s definitely worth the price. My wife and I were looking for something to eat that was close to Perdido Key. I went onto Google and was reading reviews of places nearby. After seeing their high ratings, we decided to call and place an order. They told us about 1 hour. We went to pick it up and the gentleman and his wife were very friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. This has to be the best Thai food we’ve ever had. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 main dishes, and noodles. There was so much food! It was $63 and could easily feed 6 hungry adults. My wife and I ate it for dinner 2 nights in a row, and still have a ton of food in the fridge! We will definitely be going back!
