Great Basin Adventure Theme park was created in the 1980s at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park. Exhibits included panning for gold, pony rides and a playground which you csn still play on! This isn’t as ancient site, more of a forgotten past. Nature reclaims all in time. #Nevada #Reno #themepark #abandoned #forgottenplaces #urbex #adventure #greatbasinnationalpark #deserthiking #hikersoftiktok #fyp #fypシ

This is such a marvelous park to go to. You can do so much here and the beauty is stunning to say the least. If you enjoy walking or jogging this is the perfect place to do it. There are different walking trails to take, each path lined with alluring foliage that is a sight to see. There's a beautiful little lake that you can walk around that glistens in the sun during the day. There's multiple animals you might catch a glimpse of while you're there, but make sure when you're looking for animals and smelling the flowers you watch for snakes. My personal favorite part of San Rafael is the sunflower garden which is something you have to see for yourself. This park is perfect for walking, walking your dog, and especially for taking pictures. Along with the walking trails, there is also a little farm area that may have chickens, sheep, and even horses. It depends on what season you visit the park in though, around the end of summer you can't see as many animals at the barn. Overall, this is one of the best parks I have ever been to, and I've been all across the country. If you have little children, they can be entertained at the dinosaur playground which has dinosaur themed playground equipment. If you're ever in the area of Reno, Rancho San Rafael is a perfect place to stop by and enjoy!

We were traveling through from Vegas to Northern CA and stopped in to find a dog park. Vegas glass some amazing parks for furry friends, but this park beats them all imo! I wish it was closer to our home but we will visit again for sure! It has bathrooms, walking paths, and a HUGE off leash dog area that boasts so many friendly visitors! My 1 yr old Shiba Inu, Wiley, is a handful, and during a 10+ hr car ride, it was about miserable until we stopped here! All 3 dogs ran and played their hearts out, and each had their own fun experience within an hours time. I have never seen such a well run park that hosts dogs and people and animals so elegantly. Other cities should take note of this park and strive to do the same for their communities instead of doing the same old copy-paste requirements for city management.
