My friend and I, both professors at a local university, were some of the first members at Signor because we loved their Viognier. Then, Signor was small and very welcoming. I really loved their manager at that time. It is a beautiful spot. (The house was the home of Dr. George and Jonell Livesay, who were friends of mine. )Since that time, it has expanded to many buildings. I am no longer a member at Signor but am a member at Narrow Path and Beckers. (Which we love) I have retired from teaching and have two STRs in Gillespie County. I recently started a wine tour company, and it has been so much fun creating curated wine tasting experiences for my guests. Everyone has been so kind and appreciative.

My guests today asked to go to Signor, and I was excited for them to experience it. I made a reservation for the group the week before.

We were arriving before a big storm was about to hit. They put us under the patio. I don't usually sit with my guests, but they invited me to join them. After their first tasting, the rain and wind began, and we were getting wet. She asked if we were ready for the next pour, and I asked if we could go inside. Inside was the members' room. There were only a few members in the room. The server said no, that it was the member's only room. I said we cannot be out here because we are getting wet. Other guests were asking the same questions. They were told no, as well. The manager came by and said we could go to the inside tasting room, but there was not enough room for everyone. So, I told the guests that I think we need to go since there were no options offered to us. I ran to the car with one of the guests and brought the car and the umbrella to the entrance. She ferried the guests to the car. We were all soaked. I asked the server to only charge me for one tasting. She was not happy. The last guest said that the server and one of the other employees were trash-talking me. Pretty sad. Pretty snooty. I told them there are many wineries and that I have choices to where I take my guests. Signor will not be one of them. Where was the humanity when they wouldn't let us in out of the rain and wind? Beauty and nice wine do not trump decency...

If you want to feel what its like to visit a vineyard that caters to your every whim, you need to visit Signor Vineyard. Take a tour or a charter. You can share a tour bus or rent one just for you and your friends through Executive Transportation Service on the net. As you drive in your first view is of grape vines. They want you to experience the land first and then savor the fruits afterwards. But wait, after you park in the spacious parking area, you are overwhelmed by not vines as you walk up the gently graded path, but flowers blossoming on every side. It is truly amazing how beautiful the walk is into this heavenly garden, but I digress... You'll take a seat and you'll taste the best vintages that Signor has to offer, by the glass or bottle, of course. Order some cheeses, which are to die for, simply because you're in (or close to) Fredricksburg, a wonderful germanic town settled by a very resourceful people who immigrated and settled this area long, long ago. They knew a good thing when they saw it. So....if you're not too tipsy, walk on over to Joanna's Market and peruse the many offerings. They've got souvenirs and even a small grill with some savory offerings that will fill you belly and maybe even sober you up a bit. Like I said before....this place has it all. Go explore how wine is made, because that's why you came to Signor Vineyards, of course, and last but not least, take a stroll down a few of the rows of vines and actually see what makes those magnificent wines. Drive safely or just hang out with the wonderfully friendly people whom I got to know when I made my journey. Go make...

Disappointing! Down the hill!!! My husband and I have been founding members since back when this place has just opened up and so we have been loyal from the start. Enrique who treated us incredibly rudely and curtly without honoring our founding membership is not the kind of customer service we want to experience. Gone are the days of Sammy who made sure the founding members were looked after and treated with respect. Absolutely no customer service, we had one lady tell us initially she honors our founding membership to be followed up by Enrique. I have never met this person before who’s sole aim seems to be to drive people and members away from this beautiful winery when it’s absolutely empty on a Sunday. With wineries like Slate Theory just across street we will be cancelling our membership. So disappointing considering how many people we have promoted this winery to and all of our friends who have joined based on our recommendation. Hope you start appreciating the members and customers who have been with you from the start and upping your customer service experience and stop treating your loyal...

Beautiful vineyard, beautiful shop, it's definitely a beautiful spot to visit. For wine tasting none were sweet. We asked our waiter for wine tasting for 1 because my partner dosnt like wine, usually if I say it's good he'll take a sip or two out of mine. Our server still gave us two glasses and made the comment that he dosnt know how to pour less than 2oz? We thought he was trying to be funny and blew it off. The first glass was less so I figure he split the two oz to one oz, by the 3rd one it was full 2oz per glass we were wondering if he forgot. By the time we got the check he charged us for 2 wine tasting and stood over us and made a comment that the new "chip readers" are good so the waiters can talk to you while you tip. My partner was kind enough to still tip but that made me uncomfortable and I wouldn't have tipped, especially since we asked for wine tasting for 1 and he slowly started pouring more than 1oz per glass. The waiter really does make the experience and in this case this beautiful winery was just not worth it to us.
