I took my daughter’s phone there to get a screen protector. That is advertised out front for $5. Prices on that weren’t discussed. Well her battery doesn’t last long as it’s an older iPhone it’s an iPhone XR. I asked how much it would be for them to replace the battery in her phone. She tells me that it’ll be around $80 for that model iPhone to get the battery replaced. So I told her we will wait another day. Then she tells me she has a coupon that she can do it for cheaper. I take the offer and let her Replace the battery. Well, when they are done, I hand the phone to my daughter while I pay for the services which was $95 the screen protector cost $25. SMH. and she gets on FaceTime with her friends and the front camera is no longer working on the phone and I Quickly let them know that it was Not working. They take the phone back apart to see what is wrong. They were not able to fix the front camera that Day. She told me that she did not get a chance to check the camera before she worked on the phone because the phone was dead. That is not true. The phone was dead and she charged it up And ask for her passcode and all She had plenty of chance to check. They actually have a checklist On the paperwork to check if the phone is functioning, and if the camera is functioning, flashlight, etc. she did not do that. I explained to them everything worked perfectly fine on the phone before they replaced the battery. Then she tells me that she will order a front camera for the phone and only charge me for the shipping price, but it will not be there until a week from that day. Well, that day comes and they still were not able to get the front camera fixed. So now I have a phone that is pretty much useless because my daughter uses it to FaceTime and make videos. And they do no refunds
And now the screen it’s not work at all and probably because they left the two screw out that holds...
Read moreThey told me to post a 5 star review for a discount because they gave me the wrong thing twice, but now that I'm not pressured to lie about my experience so here it goes. Came in for a screen protector and case, nothing has a price on it so that's where they first got me. I told them what I wanted, and when I started saying what I liked or disliked, before I could even ask how much things were they started putting things on my phone. They put a glass screen protector on my phone and a case while talking so I wouldn't ask for a price. When we got to the register, those 2 things cost me over $100. Since I was on my lunch break, I didn't pay much attention because I thought they looked up what type of phone I had in my settings (i watched him go into my settings to check)... but about an hour later, I realized they put the wrong screen protector on. So I went back in, he told me that I told him the wrong info, so he grabbed another one off the shelf and put it on my phone. That's when he told me that I would get a big discount for next time if I gave a 5 star review. With that being said, maybe a month and a half later, I took the case off to clean my phone and now the screen protector they put on just falls off, and won't stay on my phone with the case on. I assume whatever screen protector that was put on was held in place by the case they gave me. If you buy from them, make sure they don't talk over you and ask them directly how much things are going to be, because they will put things on your phone before you buy. $100 for a screen protector and case is insane, especially when the exact same brand they used is half price on Amazon. The employees seemed friendly enough I guess, just wish they had been more direct about pricing and didn't pressure you to buy things by putting the products on your phone...
Read moreI came to Techy because of their 5 star reviews. I brought my daughter’s iPad in for a screen replacement, the gentleman working advised they would also need to replace the board underneath, which I agreed to. I picked up the iPad a little over an hour later, however didn’t actually go to use it until we got home. This is when I noticed the “home” button was loose/damaged- this was not the case when I dropped it off. I called and they said to just bring it back in the next day. I brought it back the next morning and he advised that when he opened the screen for replacement the button is broken underneath- my issue with this is that I was not informed of this the day prior when I was there for the original service, nor on the phone that evening. He explained it still works and then showed me how to add the “home” button to the touch screen, which I didn’t care to do. I wanted the iPad to work as it should and as this is my teenagers- I know a compromised piece won’t last long. He advised he would fix it. I came back an hour later and he had rubber bands on the device and advised I needed to wait an hour before trying to use it. After several hours my daughter tried it and the button is no different than the night before. While the employees were nice, I feel like I wasted 4 hours (2 in drive time between the two trips and 2 more waiting each day) and my device still isn’t fully repaired. The screen is repaired and working but the button still being damaged and additional trip have left some frustrations over...
